I don't get the large number of glowing reviews...the hotel is Okay, but not excellent. Many of the staff we encountered were short on smiles and friendliness, we arrived after 5PM, room was not ready, were sent to another room, then after 10 mins, were told we couldn't have that room. The room we ended up in was the same layout except it was handicapped (which we did not need). The room was moderately clean, but not excellent. There was a faint "not clean" odor (dog?) especially when the AC was running. My son coughed all night (again, I think dogs - so maybe their $75 extra cleaning fee for having dogs in a room does not really get extra cleaning). Breakfast was ok, not great. We were given a very curt response when we asked if there were any more eggs. I read somewhere there was a renovation done recently...it didn't seem like it to me. I didn't see one smile on a staff member in the breakfast area. It was all just ok. We usually stay at Marriott properties (Esp Springhill Suites) and this stay reminded me why we rarely deviate from Marriott. Also, if you are going to book this hotel, might not want to do it through Expedia. The hotel front desk clerk made several comments about not using 3rd party bookings...I think why they did not let us stay in the first room we had.
