Eenvoudige maar prima accommodatie. Schoon, goed bed. De cottages staan erg dicht op elkaar en er is amper ruimte om buiten te zitten. Centraal in dorp.

We loved the self contained cottage which was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was the best of our travels having a proper vanity with a big drawer for toilet bags etc. Would certainly recommend.

Comfortable and quiet in a good location for restaurants snd attractions. The cottages are a bit close together so the sitting area is confined but they are well equipped with excellent bathrooms

Wonderful
It was an adorable cottage. Plenty of room and very comfy. Also very quiet so I could hear the birds. Check in was easy and staff very friendly. Gave good local suggestions. Would definitely stay again.

Nice cottage. Big negative is the high heat in the room during summer, since there is no AC, an electric fan should have been provided. Keeping windows open takes a long time to cool the room.

Great
Comfortable and great location. Perfect for exploring. Laundry nearby but half machines out of order (not run by the motel). The only thing to note is we were woken at 3am one night by the firefighter siren - quite scary if you don’t know what it is!

Not much for dining. They close way before they say. The rooms are fantastic though. I suggest picking up food to cook in the room that has a grocery store before heading into the pass.

Great location for both Fran’s Joseph and Fox glaciers. Nearby restaurants and pubs and grocery store. Front desk staff warm and welcoming. Our cottage was comfortable. There were heated blankets and portable heaters if you were cold.

Comfy and Compact with with a mountain view
Great little group of cottages that are close to everything. View of the mountains from inside. Comfy and compact. for our one night stay it was perfect and well priced.

Really loved these cottages. Plenty of room for me and my husband. Rainforest behind and a view of the mountains from the deck and the bed. Laundry and bbq area available as well and very quiet. Staff were friendly, room was clean and they were fine with us arriving late. There's a cool walk 2 minutes away to an old tunnel with glow worms inside.

Cottage number 4 was very comfortable with a super view. I wish we could have stayed longer and explored the area but for an overnight stop it was great.

Nice location
Nice location, and good to sit out on the veranda in the evening with a beer and look at the mountains. Close to a lovely walk in the rainforest upto Tatare Tunnel. Close to restaurants only a couple of minutes walk.

So good I came back !
I stayed in the cottages in 2016 when they had just opened & thought they were fab little units then. They still are, well kept & comfortable for a short stay. 2 adult's 2 nights cottage no 10 parking right outside this unit which is from the layout disabled friendly. Weather was awful during our stay which stopped us going out as much as we would have if it was sunny. Short walk to goid restaurants. We were really in Franz Josef to go to glaciers, which we couldn't do till the morning we were leaving due to the weather. TV reception is poor in unit and channels limited.

A well maintained comfortable unit with helpful staff and a good guest laundry. The cooking facilities are limited to a microwave and toaster - no cooker top.

ケアに会える綺麗なコテージ
18時を過ぎての予約だったが、問題なく対応してくれた。 受付フロントの場所が微妙に離れているので、コテージ外にある看板に従う。(直ぐそばにある) 一棟毎に独立したコテージ。結構広い。 基本的なものは全て揃っている。牛乳はなかった。部屋からは山梨峰々がはっきり見え、夜は星空が美しい。朝はケアが屋根を歩く音で目覚めたら。5.6羽は訪れていた。 コテージ前は砂利なので、バイクだとかなり駐車しずらい。敷地もそこまで広く無いので、考えて駐車する必要がある。

Love seeing the mountains close by, unit's are very close together however, we didn't have any noise issues. Easy walking distance into the township. Blue Ice restaurant absolutely great food.

Amazing Franz Joseph.
Absolutely amazing. We had such a lovely time in your wee town, we did everything except going to the Glaciers. May be when my granddaughter gets a bit more adventurous. The outlook and surroundings were amazing. We struck amazing weather to help us explore more.

Clean well appointed space close to village and good access to walks and nature. We were frustrated that roading crew in adjoining cottage parked a trailer full of industrial equipment right in front of our window. The view from our window was completely obscured and, although we were out exploring for the days we stayed, it was not possible for us to use the small deck and parking in our allocated space was tight. The management were aware of the parking situation but didn't address it. With the low tourist numbers they probably are glad of repeat business from tradies and road workers but should also consider the needs of those on holiday - we won't stay here again. We will be back to Franz Joseph as soon as we can though - it is a wilderness paradise

Excellent stay. Room comfortable and nice. View good and a great price. I enjoyed my stay. Left phone charger behind and they couriered back to my home. The only issue was sink tap showing signs of wear needing repair and as we had a 4 night stay the room was not really cleaned well as crumbs left of floor after room service. Over all I would stay there again and recommend to others
