The Space:

Welcome to The Yellow Rose, a charming 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath home located right on Main Street in the heart of Frankfort. This cozy retreat is just minutes from Lake Michigan, Betsie Lake, Crystal Lake, scenic trails, and local dining, making it an ideal home base for exploring Northern Michigan year-round.



Inside, enjoy a comfortable living room with a 60-inch smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and inviting spaces to unwind after a day outdoors. Step outside to the patio with a 4-burner gas grill, then gather around the fire pit in the evening for relaxed nights under the stars.



Each bedroom features new beds, plenty of natural light, and its own 40-inch TV for added comfort. Walk to shops, restaurants, and the historic Garden Theater, or take a short drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Cherry Bowl Drive-In. Whether you’re here to swim, fish, hike, ski, or simply relax, The Yellow Rose offers a welcoming stay in one of Northern Michigan’s most beloved lake towns.



Rental Policy:

- No smoking or fireworks are permitted.

- No events, parties, or large gatherings are permitted.

- Minimum booking age is 25.

- Two dogs (2) are okay upon approval. No oversized or dangerous breeds. Pets are not permitted to be left alone for long periods of time. No pets on furniture.

- We have partnered with Safely to provide rental property damage protection for all reservations.



Guest Access:

This property features self-check-in. Check-in after 10 pm is not permitted. Check-in instructions are sent after completing our guest check-in form. The home's property address will also be sent separately 72 hours prior to check-in.

Guests are provided with a small amount of essentials, including paper towels, toilet paper in each bathroom, laundry pods, dish pods, dish soap, hand soap, and basic cleaning supplies.



CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS:

•November-April: Set the heat/thermostat to 55 degrees and close the blinds.

•May-October: Shut off everything and close the blinds.

•Strip beds (not mattress pads) and pile all sheets and towels on the floor near the washer. Start a load of towels in the washer. (If applicable.)

•Dispose of food and trash.

•Put all trash in the garbage bin. Trash instructions are noted in your Guest Guide Link.

•Put patio cushions back. (If applicable.)

•Washed, dried, and put away dishes.

•Turn off lights.

•Lock the door.

We had a blast in Frankfort!Our rental was clean. The neighborhood was quiet. The location was most excellent for easy access to downtown with lots of places to eat, several local beaches and the Rock Shop at Crystal Gardens. The property manager was prompt and responded to all our questions when we were at the house. Really, the best location!

Downtown and wonderful host:)

The house is right downtown and near grocery, restaurants etc. The beds were comfortable and house was clean except for some dog hair still on the floor but it isn't easy to make that all disappear:) Morgan was quick to answer all my questions and I appreciate her allowing my old standard poodle to come on vacation with the family. Neighborhood is quiet. A quick drive to Lake Michigan (can walk if desired).

Great stay in Frankfort, Michigan

7 of us stayed at the Yellow Rose on outskirts of Frankfort, Michigan this past weekend. We love this area and getting to visit is a real gift. The house was nice - clean and provided everything we needed. Neighborhood is just outside of downtown - about a 20-minute walk to shops and restaurants. Back deck is small but nice and we enjoyed the vegetation and tall trees and birdwatching in the morning over coffee. Place is not fancy (nor is neighborhood), but if you are coming for the overall location and not fussy, you'll love it. We'd go back.

Cute home!

We enjoyed our short weekend in this home. We didn’t stay in it much, but it was a great location for what we wanted. We kayaked/canoed, went to TC, Sleeping bear dune climb and a dog friendly beach along Lake Michigan. All within a 30-40 min drive. Beautiful location though with a lake close by and nice restaurants all within a mile from the home. The home itself had everything we needed and was in a quiet area.

Great place to stay! Everything was as described! Very clean and plenty of room for 6 of us plus our dog. Would definitely stay here again! Frankfort is a gem of a town- Tons of restaurants and the beach is one of the best! 4th of July fireworks is fantastic.

Yellow Rose - June 2023

Overall this was a lovely property. The inside was very clean and neat. There are plenty of dishes, utensils and cooking or baking dishes for family dinners. The house is on a large corner lot with a firepit, horseshoes, and corn hole for family fun. The GE Front loader Washer and Dryer looked new and operated easily. The only problem was they were stacked and the dryer settings were very difficult for me to see (I am 5'4"). Also the VRBO add indicated that there was a canoe and kayak on the outside on the property and there was not. They are available to rent locally if needed.

Convenient and Comfortable

Rental was so clean and well set up with everything you'd need! The management company responds quickly. This place is just a short 10-15 minute walk to the beach (take time to see the sun setting on the lake) and just a few steps from the bike path. It is located on a quiet street with quiet neighbors. Numerous restaurants are within walking distance as is a grocery store (Consider stopping at Stormcloud Brewing, Port City Smokehouse, Dinghy's, Dos Arboles, L'chayim Deli, and Crescent Bakery - along with places to stop for fudge and ice cream). The beds are comfortable and there are great features like built-in charging ports in the bedside lamps. Light switches are labeled so there is no confusion. A very handy visitor's guide with extensive photographs clearly lets you know where things are in the house and how to use the TV, remote, etc. This is a great space for couples or for a family. Nice deck with picnic table and a large yard with space to build a fire and play games.
