Apartment Flamingo in Fort Myers/Villa Barra

Welcome to our little paradise in Florida!

Come and enjoy some magic days at our Barra Villa Resort, which is well renowned for its sophisticated and playful atmosphere. The resort consists all in all of 8 lovely apartments and studios with a central, large pool area and backyards which offer the opportunity to relax and meet other guests if you like.

Lucky us that we found and bought this cute house!

House II consists of 3 units: the "Apartment Pelican", the "Apartment Flamingo" and the "Studio Turtle".

Each accommodation has its own entrance as well as a private bathroom, kitchen, and living-/sleeping-area. If requested, we are able to connect the Apartment Flamingo and the Studio Turtle to one big apartment which offers space for up to 5 adults.

The common outdoor area offers many different seating possibilities.

If you let us know early, it’s also possible to rent the entire Villa Barra II or the entire Resort.

maritime designed 1-BR accommodation - day bed for a third person in the eat-in kitchen - completely new designed shower bath (which can be entered from the bedroom) - well-equipped kitchen counter with all necessary tableware

You will be delighted by the beach atmosphere at our Apartment Flamingo.

The Apartment welcomes you with various shades of blue and will make you feel like you are on a warm and sunny beach. The well-equipped eat-in kitchen with a dining table also has a flatscreen TV and a day bed which is an appropriate sleeping possibility for a third person, if needed.

The closet in the light-flooded bedroom offers enough space for your holiday clothes and for newly bought holiday memories.

From the bedroom, which is equipped with one Queen-size bed, you have access to the shower bath which is completely renovated and separated by a sliding door. Towels and linens are part of the equipment of the Apartment Flamingo for granted.

Summer, sun, and sunshine - you have certainly deserved it!

Everything was perfect & as described. The location is nice (very close to downtown), but peaceful. A bit of a drive to the beach but it didn’t change our experience! Would definitely stay again. Very communicative, accommodating hosts as well.

Restaurants and downtown very walkable. We split the entire house with friends and family. Loved that Turtle and Flamingo could be opened with a connecting door. Bedroom could use more lighting and a dresser for clothes storage as we were there for a week. Will definately stay here again.

Perfect for a quick getaway, including all amenities one may need. A bit smaller of a shower than expected but clean. Bit of a musty smell from old air conditioning system so we didn’t use it because it was actually cold for the season!

Just enough

We were in town for a baseball tournament and just wanted a comfortable bed, a cold drink and a quiet evening after a long hot day at the fields. The Flamingo was exactly that. Small but clean and comfortable, exactly as pictured. Very close to Publix and restaurants and not far from the fields. It was just enough.

Nice little apartment

I was contacted with all of the information I needed to check in very quickly. This is a great and safe neighborhood with a Publix near by. There is also a cute little breakfast and lunch cafe that has really good food and prices. It takes about 30-40 minutes to the beach from here. There is enough towels and kitchen supplies for two people. Bath towels and hand towels are provided but bring your own beach towels. A fresh sponge and dish detergent is provided to clean dishes. There is an electric stove and pots and pans for cooking. Only one ice try in the freezer. Cute little kitchen table and great maritime decoration theme. Because of the weather, we didn’t get to try out the pool. Couple things could be improved: In order to get in and out of the house you need a key located in a combination box by the front door. It was a little tricky and outdated. A newer combination lock door with a code would have been better so there is no key to keep track of. The window air conditioner was loud and didn’t cool very well. Only one TV in the kitchen and very small. It was very difficult carrying luggage and trying to keep the screen porch open. A door with a way to keep it open would be good and less likely to tear it up. My biggest suggestion is inside locks. Two females traveling, I would have felt much better with a way to lock the doors from the inside on the front door and the connecting door. Keys are easy to duplicate and this addition would make your guests feel safer.
