Beautiful view but home was disappointing
Upon arrival there was an exterminator spraying for fire ants and roaches. We were immediately horrified at the thought of roaches. Not to mention the chemicals probably being used for us to breathe in. During our stay, it turns out we did see live roaches on multiple occasions crawling on the kitchen floor and under the sink. Absolutely disgusting! We also found dropping in the pots and drawers. The baking sheets were rusty and old. The dishwasher racks were broken and you could not use the top drawer. The drainage in the shower was terrible and would puddle up inside. In addition, that same shower leaked from the sealing around the glass. When I stepped out of the shower the entire floor was a wet puddle making it a safety hazard. The pool heater worked the first day, however, by the second day it no longer worked. Someone was sent to fix it, which then it worked again, but the following day it broke again. The pool water line was going down each day, so clearly there was a leak. We were told to the heater stops working when the water line gets below a certain point, so we were told to use the cold hose to fill the pool. We choose not do so because clearly the hose would make the pool colder. The decorative pillow on one of the beds had a huge stain that could appear to be urine. The only thing that we enjoyed was the beautiful view of the canal. It was peaceful and tranquil to look at.

Short of expectations
Opened first kitchen drawer and found live roaches and animal droppings. From there many issues. Some were resolved to varying degrees. Issues remained constant throughout our stay. Dying roaches (every day) from manager spraying (should have been done earlier). Bathtub wouldn’t”t drain was fixed and we were given a rubber stopper to use in the repainted, paint chipped tub. No smart TV but manager did replace. Dishwasher was virtually unusable because racks weren’t stable. Bathroom sink clogged the entire two weeks. Door shelves in refrigerator were missing. Baking pans etc. were dirty and old. The house had to be recleaned after we arrived. Bicycle chains and gears were rusted and wouldn’t move but he did replace the bikes. . Storage room looked like a garbage dump. The house smelled mildewy even after complaint. We made the best of it and talked with the young manager. We tried to explain this is not acceptable for the rental price of this house. We asked for a price adjustment in view of the iniquities we endured for two weeks but got none.

It’s a mixed bag
We had a nice time but they could have had a few small things like extra blankets, laundry pods, shower gel/ it would have been nice if they were a little more generous in their amenities. The house was very clean and adequate for travelling with our 3 young adult children. The outdoor space was beautiful, which was the reason we booked this home, but sadly there was a construction job going on and we were woken up every week day morning and the noise made it difficult to sit outdoors for too long. We acknowledge that was out of the owners control. Without the noise we would have given this a 4.

Great property. Very clean. Well stocked to include fishing poles and Limited tackle. Used the grill for a cookout and works great. Nice pool. The only small downside is there is a middle school on the same street so traffic was a bit of an issue twice a day but not bad. Overall, definitely enjoyed our stay. Would recommend

Great house with all the amenities you need for a fun vacation
The house is older but has updates throughout and plenty of amenities. We had two issues during our stay which the property manager resolved within a reasonable amount of time. Our kids (15, 12, 9) had a great time fishing off the dock (with the provided fishing poles) and making s'mores on the mini charcoal grill. PLENTY of beach/pool towels, sand and pool toys.

Great house on the water
Our family stayed here for the week. House was super clean, and the communication was exceptional! The canal next to this house is much wider that most areas which is nice as the houses across the water are much farther away. Highly recommend!
