  • No. 2 The Old Convent is een appartement met één slaapkamer op de begane grond.
    Het oude klooster is liefdevol gerenoveerd tot een hoge standaard en heeft veel van de originele kenmerken behouden, zoals de granieten stenen muur, maar met moderne details, zoals centrale verwarming en dubbele beglazing.
    De woonkamer is ruim, maar gezellig met een houtkachel voor die koude winteravonden. Het hoofdgedeelte is open met een scheidingswand naar de keuken die van alle gemakken is voorzien.
    Er zijn twee trappen naar het appartement en twee treden van de woonkamer naar beneden naar een hal die leidt naar de badkamer en slaapkamer.

Really warm welcome from the hosts to this beautifully appointed apartment in a historic building just a short walk from Fort Augustus and the banks of loch Ness. The hosts provided a detailed and up to date information pack with local walks and eateries. In short . We and our little dog loved it

This property far exceeded our expectations. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful whilst not being at all intrusive. The property itself is beautiful, very well cared for and spotlessly clean. We would have no issue recommending it and hope that we will get the opportunity to stay again.

Perfect choice!!

Absolutely beautiful property! Attention to every detail of excellence. Right on the beginning of a great trail to Lady Falls. Walking distance to the idyllic village of St Augustus. Chris and Felicity are awesome hosts!

Christmas escape

This was a perfect getaway from a very busy and active year. The accommodations and surroundings were magical. It may have been wet and windy however this never put us off in any way, especially coming back in the evenings after an extensive day trip to beautiful apartment and a cosy fire to warm up beside. I can’t thank Felicity and Chris enough for the amazing time we spent.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft

Die Bilder und die Beschreibung der Ferienwohnung sind schon sehr schön, doch die Wirklichkeit ist noch viel schöner. Eine sehr sehr schöne Wohnung mit viel Liebe ausgestattet und eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und bemüht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir haben uns sehr wohlfühlen und können diese Wohnung bzw dieses Haus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt.

This place was AMAZING! The renovation of this old convent was very thoughtfully and artistically done. The apartment was very well furnished and comfortable. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was gorgeous and the shower luxurious (we did not use the beautiful claw-foot tub), the kitchen was wonderful for cooking, and the dining room and living room were perfect. The view in the back of the place was lovely and quiet. The hosts met us when we arrived and gave us the rundown on everything and ideas for local places to eat and hike. The location is perfect for walking into town and heading out for hikes in the region around Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, and Glencoe. We walked into town for a dram of whiskey next to the Caledonian Canal and went out for a special dinner one night, but otherwise enjoyed cooking for ourselves using the new appliances. We also loved the convenience of using a combo washer/dryer in our own room. Overall, this was a wonderful stay with thoughtful hosts in an ideal location. We can't recommend it highly enough!

Best Honeymoon we could have imagined!

We had a brilliant time staying at the beautiful No. 2 holiday apartment at The Old Convent. We had planned to go abroad for our honeymoon but decided to stay in the UK fairly last-minute, which turned out to be a great decision! The apartment had been done up to an exceptional standard which made it feel very luxurious and special. It was also very well equipped with everything we needed, and more. Chris and Felicity were so hospitable and friendly, and had lots of suggestions for things to see and do. The area of course was beautiful. We did great day trips and walks in the surrounding Glens and the Isle of Skye. We were a bit unlucky with the weather, but this didn't matter as we enjoyed relaxing in the apartment so much anyway. We absolutely recommend staying here!

5 star luxury apartment t on the heart of the highlands.

A beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated apartment completed to a high specification. The place was delightful along with the very helpful hosts. Absolutely recommend.

Great place to stay

Of the nine properties we stayed in during our 3 week holiday, this was by far the best. From booking to arrival, Felicity and Chris were beyond helpful. We had everything we needed (and more) during our stay. Their attention to detail was remarkable!

A true gem

We were incredibly impressed with the hospitality from both Chris and Felicity as well as the finishings in our apartment. It was very evident that they have put a lot of time and energy into renovating the convent as it is first class. Everything we needed was provided and more! We would have loved to stay longer as the location was great for exploring the surrounding area. If you are journeying to Scotland be sure to book this accommodation as one of your stop overs.
