Worst beach house experience - Do not recommend
If you are considering this rental for your family, do yourselves a favor and find somewhere else. We had nothing but issues with this place. We spent the first 2 days of our trip dealing with a broken AC. The condo was 80 degrees upon check-in and the owner was argumentative and rude to several members of our family - more or less calling them incompetent for not knowing how to work the AC until he finally admitted there was a problem with it. The condo desperately needs updated and needs a deep cleaning! We had several dustpans full of dirt and dog hair and spent the whole first evening cleaning the floors and bathrooms and counters - despite the owner stating he had “the best cleaning lady around”. The condo smells very musty - we had to buy air fresheners and sprays to try to mask the smell. All carpet in the unit needs replaced - nasty dark spots and it felt damp from moisture. The owner argued that “cleanliness is a matter of perspective”. We also highly suspect - but according to the owner “can’t prove” that there is mold - several moldy looking places especially in the bathrooms. We would especially not recommend for anyone that has medical conditions like asthma or COPD. There were many other issues and the owner ultimately stopped responding to our calls/texts. It is a shame that you save money all year to enjoy a family vacation, only to have to deal with issues like we had. We were very disappointed and will definitely not be staying here again.
