« The Whately is perfectly located in the centre of Banbury, nice staff, beautiful garden, complete breakfast in a spacious room. The beds are very very comfy. The building itself is wonderful, but the hotel needs a big refreshment: the carpets in the stairs are worn to the bone, covered with scotch tape, one of our curtains was torn apart, the handle was about to fall from the bedroom door, and the cold water was slow to go out from the tap. « Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. »

« The staff were always courteous, helpful and professional. We found the hotel to be dog friendly and the room still felt spacious with two small dogs. It was an excellent stay and we would choose to stay there again. »

« Loved the place. It is in middle of no-where, so connectivity poor or zero. The internet worked only in the kitchen/lobby/breakfast area and not in rooms. I am sure it is easy to fix and then it will be a great place to stay in serenity and cleanliness. The staff is very helpful. They recommend to visit a pub/restaurant in the evening and it was just excellent. great food and ambiance. »
