'Holiday Inn Dunes is een redelijk tot goed hotel, ontbijt is ruim voldoende zowel qua variëteit als qua kwalitiet. Kamers voldoende ruim, badkamer schoon, alles werkt naar behoren. Vermoedelijk is de controle na schoonmaken/opruimen van de kamer niet geborgd, regelmatig werd een handdoek o.i.d. "vergeten". Hotel ligt op goede loopafstand van "Cola intersection" als wel van centrum "Hamra". Airco werkt in de wintertijd niet, terwijl de temperatuur toch behoorlijk kan oplopen, zodat dag en nacht...

Buffet variety okay, bread selection poor compared to other places, overall quality breakfast mediocre and, hence, expensive. Location not ideal for tourists but excellent national museum next door. 'The room was spacious with a city view. There were also two complimentary small lebanese sweets and crackers boxes and a big fruit platter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Mr Mohamed and Mr Fadi at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Special appreciation also to Mr Rabih Nader whow accompanied me in the early morning to find an ATM machine before our travel. Hamra is a very busy place, so it's not for everybody if you want to stay in a quiet neighbourhood, but it does get quiet after midnight.
