'Despite having a specific room booked 10+ days in advance, the hotel staff called me a few hours before check in to inform me that the room had been overbooked. They asked to call me back so they could see what they could do. They didn't call back. After an hour, I called them and was asked to wait for their call which would be in a few minutes. They didn't call back. I had traveled from out of state and began to panic a bit of not having an accommodation large enough for the family. I called...

'The staff was extremely pleasant and I feel their goal was to make your stay was comfortable and pleasant as could possibly be. One more thing im kind of a clean freak so I gotta be honest I watched the cleaning staff without their knowledge. I wash shocked at the detail and thouroughness with the detail and pride they seemed to take in ever room. Im in customer service and im gonna be honest it's hard to give a review without a flaw but I truly belive the Royal Inn deserves it.'

'We stayed 2 nights because we wanted to see Salt Lake City. The city is nice but this hotel the worst we had in our 2 weeks trip to the US. Especially corridors were dirty. The whole hotel did smell uncomfortable.'

'This is a converted hotel into something I don't know what. One lampshade missing, one looked like it had burn marks. In the bathroom, half the toilet paper holder on the wall was missing. Bathroom door was broken. Extra safety lock on front door was missing half. Phone was just sitting on the county with no cord to connect to the wall. Then the kicker, the heater in the room was broken/didn't work. Their maintenance had gone home for the day. First time in my nearly 60 year life I asked...

'We were told the property had been renovated a couple years ago. The bathroom looked like it had been remodeled this year. The suite contained a real kitchen. Beds were great. The entire staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, for families and old people. They always greeted you with a smile. It is the best hotel at this price range we have ever visited.'

'Esther was fabulous. I likes the ski posters highlighting the father and probably uncles of the owner and their accomplishments. I loved the rooms. The washer/dryer in one frustrated me. I should have googled directions. I appreciated having them available for use. I loved the excellent ingredients used in the food. I liked so many available snacks. I loved the interaction I had with Esther. But for the most part she gave us our privacy and I appreciated that.'
