'The staff was welcoming the rooms and building were well maintained. This was our first time traveling with our chihuahua and the trip went awesome.'

'Unfortunately our room smelled bad when arrived. Smelled like toilet didn't work. Later in the night we smelled cigarette smoke and woke up to our room smelling like stale cigarettes. Did tell front desk staff and they mentioned talking to manager when they arrived. It is too bad that it was a nice hotel but the smells were horrible'

'Credit card was charged for another traveler's reservation (nobody I was traveling with). Check in staff seemed unsure of what they were doing. Still trying to get the charge corrected.'

'Staff stopped in each day to see if we needed anything, Room was large, bed was comfortable, liked the 2 sinks, wifi was good but not secure, breakfast was fair to good where eggs and sausage weren't very warm.The room was very damp-maybe somewhat weather-related-hard to get comfortable.'

'The location was great with a view of the harbor and the lift bridge from the room. It was a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park and good food, museums, and shopping. We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, the William A Irvin ore ship museum and walked along Lake Superior. The buffet breakfast was great and everything was clean. This was a wonderful place to stay.'

'Virtual staff was super helpful and pretty responsive to all my questions and concerns. A lot to do in the area and less than a 20 minute drive anywhere. Only thing is if you’re a light sleeper bring an eye masks, ear plugs and your own blanket. Love the natural lighting the rooms get but if you’re wanting to sleep in there aren’t any black out curtains and walls are very thin, you can hear everything and the blankets that are provided are pretty itchy and thin. 'The location of this hotel is unbeatable. If you stay in Canal Park area you don't need your car. Shops, restaurants, lakewalk, etc is walkable. We will come back for sure.'

'Staff is 10 out of 10! Room was clean and as advertised. We enjoyed breakfast outside, soaking in the sunshine and gorgeous views of Superior. The pools were clean, balcony views amazing and within walking distance to Bayfront Park made this stay delightful. Would stay here again! I should mention the outlets were loose in our room so don’t assume the light bulb is out, or your phone is charging -just give it a wiggle.'
