Dramatische ervaring
Bedden prima en nette kamers, maar gehele complex is vrij oud. Waarom teleurstellend, receptie geeft op alle verzoeken standaard een nee. Verder weet de ene receptiemedewerker niet wat een andere collega heeft toegezegd, heel vervelend. In het restaurant was een grote groep die het buffet zouden openen, echter na een uur wachten waren ze er nog niet en de andere gasten zaten te wachten, maw wij waren niet belangrijk, daarnaast is het eten continu hetzelfde en slecht van kwaliteit. Helaas een IHG onwaardig, afgezien van de aardige mensen.

Overall, this was the best resort experience we’ve had. The pools and ocean views are incredible, the Lagoonarium is a neat experience. The rooms are clean, luxurious, and well-designed, and the staff and management were extremely helpful and accommodating. My wife and I (in our 30’s) stayed for a week on an anniversary trip, with some day travel through Tahiti and day-trips across the ferry to Moorea. My favorite part by far were the two pools. The pool with waterfall next the Lagoonarium (Lagoon-aquarium with lots of fish to swim with) is a great place to relax and swim with pool-side food and drinks. They also have a quieter, white-sand-bottom, fresh-water pool with an infinity-edge looking out on the ocean. All the views are looking out towards Moorea, a large nearby island, so you get incredible views all the time with even more incredible sunsets. Our hotel stay came with breakfast included (which on Sundays turns into a brunch with a live performance). Without these, the breakfasts would be far overpriced. But with those being free, the resort food was only slightly more expensive than the surrounding restaurants with consistent, above-average quality. We had one issue during our stay with the shower, but the manager was extremely accommodating and quickly swapped us rooms, providing a porter to help move things. I felt the staff and manager really cared about making our stay a relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Overall, 5/5.

We stayed 3 nights at the Intercontinental. The property itself is a bit tired but well-maintained. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Grounds were well kept. Amenities were very good. My husband and I each got a massage at the spa. The massage was good. Food and restaurant options were adequate. Our only complaint was inflexibility to substitute items in the menu. For example, I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular with my fish sandwich and was told those only come with the deluxe burger - "Really?". One evening, they allowed me to substitute Quinoa for rice in the poke dish, but the next night, my husband was denied quinoa with his fish that was served with coconut rice. Food and beverage charges seemed very high to me and this was confirmed when we dined off property. The staff worked hard to mitigate language barriers and were generally very welcoming and accommodating.

I don't know if it is expedia or the Intercontinental, I was here 18 days prior, great room wonderful people that helped me with the connection to other travel. This time downgraded room, with a real issue with the front desk. It was suggested I didn't have the same quality of reservation as others

Our room smelled like mold and the staff had to take my wife to other rooms to find one that didn’t smell like mold. They finally took her to a renovated room that she could sleep. Time to change air filters and give the place a thorough cleaning in the ductwork!

The property is beautiful but the check in is awful, the line is long and very slow. My son was sick from the ferry ride but they couldn’t get a room for us until 3pm. We were told they will email when the room is ready but they never emailed. The AC in our room is locked and you cannot adjust the temperature. I complained twice but it was still too hot in the room. Glad we only stayed one night.

Muy bueno el hotel. A 20 min del centro pero tienen shuttles que salen regularmente. El cuarto exactamente como lo esperábamos. Muy cómodo y limpio. El servicio en el restaurante no tan bueno. Lento y descuidado. La comida en general muy buena Muy recomendable.

It's a very nice resort and setting with very friendly and helpful staff. Only two complaints -- not nearly enough pool/beach umbrellas in a sunburn-prone region and luggage porter service may as well be non-existent (after waiting over an hour we carried them ourselves so as not to miss our flight).

Tahiti is garden of Eden beautiful but lacks good beaches. Having said that, we had an automobile and really enjoyed exploring the island. Easy access to Moorea by ferry. The hotel was excellent. Mainly transient clientele that will stay a couple of days then leave on cruises or transfer to Moorea or Bora Bora.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Absolutely terrible stay. The AC does not work (see other reviews). The food is exorbitantly overpriced and inedible. The staff has an extremely foul demeanor. The grounds are in desperate need of a renovation, and the property does not command the prices being charged. If you are looking for a nice resort on this Island they are much better choices. Do not fall for the marketing, or you will regret your choice. Also, if you decide to venture out of the hotel to get food that is edible, taxis charge a min of $20 USD each way to any location. A complete racket and it is clear this hotel and the tourism industry on this island are in the habit of fleecing tourists.

It's a great place to stay. You have everything you need for when you've worn yourself out taking trips around the islands. Check-in was a little too brief and they forgot to tell me about some services and meals I was entitled to and did not know it until the concierge told me. Also would have been very helpful to know they can provide me with cash for a fee to have on hand as the island is mostly all cash. As for the food, the buffet is just okay, not my type of meals. But the a la carte menu has some very delicious items. The upstairs cafe had some foods but again, just not my kind of foods. It was something to kill the hunger though. Overall I would stay here again and be much better informed at check-in.

Great way to start our holiday
We had a great stay. Comfortable room, they allowed us early checkin and late checkout as an IHG member. Restaurant menu options were restricted over christmas but food was delicious. Expensive as AUD conversion especially for cocktails. Some mistakes during dinner one night but the theme night was excellent. Loved visiting the turtles at the sanctuary and having mulitple pools was great.
