Trelawney Farm - rural retreat

Located in the picturesque Mudgee wine region and surrounded by wonderful cellar doors, cafes and restaurants. 'Trelawney Farm' is a short 5 minute drive out of town set amongst the vineyards.

This large spacious 5 bedroom home is perfect for a group of friends or family wanting to escape and taste the country life for a while. Set on 25 acres, this 130 year old farmhouse features a fresh white brick facade and colonial architraves. It has a large wraparound verandah for peaceful rural views over Pipeclay Creek and has lots of big open spaces. With open fires to keep you warm on cold winter nights and multiple living areas ‘Trelawney Farm' is perfect for your next country escape. It even has an outdoor bath if you wish to have a soak under the stars. With dark polished timber floorboards, the interior has a rustic farmhouse feel making it cozy with plenty of vintage charm scattered throughout the house.

For food lovers, you will enjoy having access to an outdoor BBQ and pizza oven.

Please note: Weekend bookings & school holidays - minimum 2 nights and a 10 people/whole house booking fee. Additional fee for 10+ guests.
Sunday to Thursday - we can be more flexible with duration of stay and can cater for smaller groups, as the house can be split into 2 (having access to 1 kitchen, lounge, dining and bathroom). Please contact me for an accurate tariff, requesting how many guests and bedrooms needed for a mid-week stay.

This is the fourth occasion staying at Trelawney Farm, just prefect for large groups. A beautiful place to stay and the location is great, with only a short drive to Mudgee town centre. Highly recommend staying at Trelawney Farm and this idyllic farmhouse offers the prefect getaway.

Really grea accommodation, especially for multiple families, it allows you to have your own space yet still be communal. The kids loved seeing the animals (horses and cows) who came right up to the fence to say Hi. Very close by to lots of wineries and the main town, nothing we ventured to was more than 10 mins drive. Will definitely come back and stay again.

We originally stayed at Trewlaney in 2020 and loved it soo much we found ourselves staying again for a family wedding weekend away! The home is beautiful and very thoughtfully styled with the old and the new. Everything you need is catered for and so close to everything Mudgee has to offer. We loved everything about our stay here. Waking up in the morning with the cows visiting us by the gates. A short drive into town. Wineries close by. The kids had plenty space to play our furbabies had the whole yard to chase each other. Wood fire oven, wished we could if used it though... the weekend that we went it was pouring down rain! Maybe on our next visit!!! We definitely recommend

Beautiful house on a big property with plenty of space for big groups. Beds and bedding need an upgrade and the kitchen wasn't particularly clean but everything else was as depicted in the listing. Would recommend.

Family Weekend

Wonderful Weekend Away with a large group of 12.

The check in was so easy. The property photos were accurate. The bedding was clean and we were able to accommodate a large group with all the bedding options. It was fantastic to have the space of two kitchens and lounge areas. Also having to bathrooms for this many people was very handy. The bathrooms were immaculate. Having a dinning table option inside and out was perfect as it rained a little over our stay, and we still had somewhere to eat. Having the use of the fire pit and supplied wood was fantastic. I would easily recommend this to anyone wishing to stay near Mudgee. I have been in the travel industry for 16 years, and this was a wonderful find.

Trelawney has a romantic, quirky country feel. From the house, as you look out into the distance you could be in the middle of no where yet you are minutes from vineyards and town is only a short drive. We all wished we could have stayed longer!

Great property for a group stay

We all had a wonderful stay at Trelawney Farm. It was in a great location and we could get into town by taxi quickly, as well as having lots of surrounding wineries if you don't want to go far. The property was great for a group, we used both houses and had lots of space and it was well stocked to be able to cook dinner for everyone. Communication with Emma was great throughout and she responded very quickly to questions. The fire pit was an added bonus as was being able to bring the dogs. A great stay all round.

A relaxing, convenient place to stay when visiting Mudgee.

From the moment we arrived it was a pleasure to be at Trelawney Farm. Plenty of space to relax and well equipped for all 10 of us . Very convenient to the wineries on the Northern side of Mudgee. A second full size shower is really needed but we worked around that minor issue. We will definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Perfect location to stay in Mudgee.

Perfect location to stay to see the sights of Mudgee. Facilities suit a large group of people. House was clean and well presented. Sleeping arrangements were flexibility (e.g. converted single beds into doubles etc). There are two bathrooms, one in with a traditional bath/shower setup (was a bit of fun). Host was lovely to deal with and provided great local knowledge and support. Look forward to visiting again.
