Thoughtful amenities through out this private hideaway with gas fireplace, 2 miles from U of O close to hiking and running/walking trails. Enjoy drinks on the private balcony that overlooks eastern hills. Quiet wooded location yet, walking distance to local restaurants and stores, playgrounds, hiking trails and local pool. Good sized tub for soaking with plenty of hot water. Memory foam mattresses with dual zone bed warmers keep each sleeper comfortable during your stay. Cozy up by the fire place under a queen size blanket and watch DVDs from a wide selection. Two bedrooms to choose from on opposite sides of the apartment for ultimate privacy. This is a duplex and your host live upstairs. There is a bolt lock on both sides of the door.
Easy check out and check in with door code. No hidden cleaning requests or fees.

Visit in January

We spent one week here at the end of January. The apartment is nice, clean and the location was excellent for our needs. Otherwise everything else went OK, but we had some issues with the kitchen sink and toilet during the first days. They were both blocked, and the sink required several tries before it started to work. Not a very nice experience, especially when we had planned to cook dinner with some friends and couldn't use the sink... The hostess and host did their best to solve the problem and actually managed to do so. Another observation was that it was cold inside! Night temperatures outside were below zero centigrade and the temperature inside was so low that we had to wear double woollen clothing. The gas fireplace was in use but the bedrooms and especially the bathroom/toilet was really cold. We couldn't keep bedroom doors open as the fridge was quite noisy. It was quite an experience to us, who are living in houses built with nordic standards, with good central heating and proper insulation. I would recommend to choose another option during the cold season, and also for hot summer, as there is no air conditioning either. But for the weather not too cold or not too hot, this is a perfect place to stay.

This is a great place to stay in Eugene. It is in town so it is close to everything you need, but feels like you are in the country. We will definitely rent again!

Amazing hideaway!

We loved our stay here. The apartment is cozy, very well appointed, and extremely comfortable. It's located near downtown. I will defiantly stay here again in future visits to Eugene!

Cozy hideaway

Nice place to stay. Beautiful view. Hard to find the first time but owner walked down the hill and hailed me. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Good beds. It snowed while we were there but it was cozy and warm inside.

Quiet, convenient, value

Tucked into a little wooded alcove behind an intersection, on one of the main streets into town, but very peaceful and quiet. Only minutes from anywhere in Eugene, very nice, immaculately maintained, hosts were very helpful, good communication through the Vrbo app — without ever meeting face to face, they were most accommodating and attentive to our needs. We came for a football game, and found this gem at less than half what even the most basic hotels were asking, for a much nicer place. Would definitely stay there again, and probably will.

Private and roomy

Although located on a busy street, property is up, off the street in trees. It is quiet and private. Minimal traffic noise. Furnished with everything you could ever need. Hosts were attentive and responsive. A great experience. Would stay again.

Disappointing

From reading previous reviews we expected some welcoming treats - there weren’t any - and a spotlessly clean apartment - it wasn’t. It was a very spacious place that would have been a lot more pleasant had it been clean. Dusty furniture, sticky glasses and hair on the bathroom floor and even in the fridge...yuck!

Convenient location

The apartment was spotless! The hosts are generous with provisions such as bagels, cream cheese and eggs for your first breakfast, as well as staples such as butter, sugar, coffee and tea. Beds were comfortable and the living room is spacious. The only drawback was that it is located near a busy street, and the traffic noise is quite noticeable. A sound machine is a must for this property if you find it difficult to sleep with traffic noise. But it’s also quite easy to walk to stores from here, and the bus line is close.

The home was comfortable and very clean. The location was very convenient, a quick uber ride downtow

Our hosts provided lovely welcoming gifts. We felt very relaxed in the space. The only thing I wished I had known was that there was no smoking near the home. The deck was beautiful but my brother was not allowed to enjoy a good cigar out there. The driveway is very steep and he had to walk down there and stand near the road. He smokes fine cigars, the smell is not offensive. Cigars are all natural and biodegradable. He left a day early because of the inconvenience of it. Had we known outside smoking was not allowed we probably would have selected a different property. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Delightful classic Eugene home

We really enjoyed the property. The hosts were awesome. When do you get a platter of pastries to start your stay? They were very accommodating but also unobtrusive. They live right above/behind the rental but we still felt that we had our own privacy and they didn’t complain about my little kids exuberantly playing outside - even in the early morning. We saw deer passing by in the mornings and evenings and even got a glimpse of the “wild” turkey family. The location was perfect for us as it was a short walk to visit my parents who live at Cascade Manor. You can also walk to numerous restaurants and stores in the area. If you need it, there is a bus route near by. We will be back to stay for sure. This is my new first choice for accommodations in Eugene.

The directions were perfect, it took us a little bit to find it.

The property was nice. We did see a deer and two fawns our first night. I love how it’s woodsy, but right in town. The driveway was fine except the tree going out scratched my car :(. It’s somewhat of a tight fit. The apartment was adorable, comfortable, the rooms were nice sized and the beds were comfy. Everything was labeled which didn’t leave us with any questions. The pastries that were delivered were yummy and we enjoyed every bit of it. There wasn’t much street noise either. I was happy to have the fans in the bedrooms considering it was 90 degrees and no air conditioning, which is common in Oregon. I didn’t know that, now I do!! I would stay there again for sure and plan to if my daughter chooses U of O.
