They have different activities everyday to socialize with other travellers. I will definitely will be staying here again.'

'Otoya1907 is the perfect place to stay to see historic San Jose. It is conveniently located, charming, and comfortable. The staff was friendly helpful, and welcoming. He patiently taught me the door codes and keys. The kitchen area is a bonus. The Cafe Otoya is very nice.'

'Emigration into SJO was 2hrs. Drive from SJO to hotel was nightmare. Hotel was really great.'

'I have to say, first up, the bed was the best I have ever slept in. The mattess, pillows...just wonderful. The room was immaculate. We were upgraded to a deluxe room. It was beautifully furnished. Not your standard hotel room. You can see the fittings and the flooring were all chosen to reflect the elegance of this former stately home. The restaurant, bar and garden were beautiful. 'Het hotel is heel netjes en degelijk. Fijn om te verblijven. Nadeel is wel dat de kant waar wij zaten van het hotel aan de straat zit en je continu het gepiep van het voetgangerslicht hoort.'

'Leuk hotel! Grootste pluspunten zijn het personeel (pro-actief, vriendelijk en behulpzaam), de aanpalende bar Rick's en de ligging nabij de binnenstad (en dan heb je toch geen tijd voor een zwembad). Prima voor op doorreis door San Jose; pak je direct wat van de stad mee.'

'They made it easy. It was my first time visiting and the warmth of the staff took the edge away. I really appreciated them setting up my transfer from the airport and made the chaos of finding a taxi late at night much easier. Definitely going to use them for my next visit to Costa Rica. 'Nice hotel, it was worth more than I paid. Stores and restaurants are around this hotel, and you can go to San Pedro Mall on foot, and city central by taxi for 10 mins. It’s quiet usually around it. Mr. Mark, owner of the hotel, turn off the light at 10pm everyday, so you can sleep comfortably. You can get many services there, i.e. nice pancakes for breakfast (surprisingly free), laundry services, and others. And don’t forget this: everyday he sends us off at hotel with warm “PURA VIDA”.'
