'My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by how incredible the Essence Suites were. The staff were there to greet us upon arrival and we were treated to a fresh lemonade and chocolate covered raspberries. 'We booked a week here to visit our daughter who was working in Kefalonia and, for us the location was perfect. Just outside of the gentle, family friendly town of Lixouri on the Paliki peninsula. The apartment was right on the beach, facing Argostoli and the rest of the island. The view from the living room, and two of the bedrooms was stunning. 'We had one night here in preparation for a boa excursion on the following day. The room was ok but no tea or coffee provided despite there being a kettle and mugs. No water in fridge. The balcony was very small and the breakfast was disappointing with the lack of fresh fruit. Nice surroundings and reception were particularly helpful.'

'Fabulous hotel which definitely feels more like 4/5 star than a 3! Friendly and exceptionally helpful staff, especially Eleni on reception. An easy 15 minute walk downhill into beautiful Fiscardo but the hotel also operates a regular shuttle bus to take you down or bring you back . 'Fantastisch gelegen hotel vlakbij boulevard en gezellige winkelstraatjes. Wat een stuk minder was, dat Argostoli ligt op een aardbevinggevoelige lijn, waaar wij dus een tamelijk zware trilling van hebben meegekregen. Het was wel geen heftige aardschok, maar het hotel schudde op zijn grondvesten. En de hele week nog lichte trillingen. Kefalonia is een prachtig eiland, maar niet voor ons om naar terug te keren.'
