The Negroponte Resort is a nice getaway from Athens and is situated in a lovely spot on the water. It was absolutely filled with families with young children so is not the quiet respite that some look for - but the rooms are very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I suspect that after the high season, it might be a quieter place to visit, but I couldn't stay on the beach for more than 30 minutes after children started screaming non-stop. I love kids, but the hotel had not advertised itself as such.
The breakfast and dinner were both good - not haute cuisine, but solid. Overall, I would visit again, but probably in the off season.
