A high point of our trip was spending time at Vern and Laurie's ranch. They are genuine people with generous hearts! The guest house is ideal for a couple or small family and the location is perfect. The pictures/descriptions are accurate and the house is clean. We look forward to staying there on our next trip!

We stayed at Vern and Laura's with our granddaughters ages 7 and 11. The property is beautiful and in an excellent area for going into Yellowstone Park. Vern was very helpful in showing us places to go and when we would have the best chance of seeing animals. The granddaughters loved having their own space in the loft. They enjoyed playing with the dogs, helping Vern with the horses and collecting eggs. The house had everything we needed and we would definitely return if ever back in the area. Thank you Laura and Vern for a wonderful time!

Great stay in MT

We had a great stay at Vern and Laurie’s guest house. A comfortable house in a beautiful setting. We really appreciated the proximity to Yellowstone as we visited there quite a few days. We really enjoyed the patio and firepit. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and convenient to Yellowstone. Views of the Yellowstone River are beautiful. The setting is very peaceful. The sofa and rocking chairs are very comfortable and the lock to the guest house entrance access was not functional.

Ranch in beautiful valley

We relaxed a few days at this lovely place. Hosts communicated clearly and were gracious. We made a couple of meals and found everything we needed.

Incredible vacation

We had an experience we will never forget here! The cabin is clean and has everything you need. The location is prefect for local sightseeing/activities. The best part is meeting the hosts Vern and Laurie and their incredible hospitality. This property gives you a real feel for life in Montana and we can’t wait to come back.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was quiet and in a picturesque setting. Vern, the owner, was great in that he gave us great information about where to spot wildlife in the area. Everyone was kind and helpful. The property was very clean and comfortable. The property is close to the north entrance of Yellowstone, so it was very convenient to visit the park. We would definitely stay there again.

Great getaway

Vern and Laurie Were wonderful hosts. Their property is amazing and we felt right at home. Loved all the animals, the beds were super comfy and had all the comforts of home. Location was amazing with the mountains and ranches.

Family Yellowstone visit

Great location, 16 miles from Gardiner (northwest entrance). Very clean place, Vern was very helpful on his suggestions as to where to visit. We visited all the locations at YNP, went to Jackson hole and big sky. Definitely would visit again.

We loved our time at the guest house! The house had everything we needed, and Vern and Laurie were generous with tips about when and where to enter the park, and where we could see bears! Perfect spot for our family to explore Yellowstone. Thank you!

Cabin in the mountains

We stayed almost 3 weeks and just about everything you'd need is there with wonderfull snowy views. If you go in winter, be sure to get a 4WD that sits a littke higher than a sedan.

Ranch life

We loved our stay at the Smith Family Ranch. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The host had lots of great suggestions for seeing wildlife outside of Yellowstone Park. The horses, dogs and chickens were an added bonus. It was convenient to the town of Gardiner and the park but also allowed for hiking and wildlife viewing outside the park.
