Elle dispose d'un jardin privé et d'un patio orientés au sud et d'une terrasse à l'arrière. La propriété est décorée avec un thème de Noël pendant la saison des fêtes. Adjacent à la maison du propriétaire, il est idéalement placé pour explorer les comtés du Shropshire, du Cheshire, du centre et du nord du pays de Galles, et est entouré de destinations et d'attractions touristiques populaires, telles que Llangollen avec ses péniches à canal tirées par des chevaux, son train à vapeur, son rafting en eau vive Erddig et le château de Chirk, le château de Powys et le parc d’Attingham. L'hippodrome de Chester et les villes médiévales de Shrewsbury, Ludlow et Bridgnorth sont facilement accessibles, sans oublier Ironbridge, site du patrimoine mondial. Very comfortable and well equipped property in a v quiet location. Very friendly and helpful owners, and a lovely welcome pack provided including home-made jam, fresh plums and tomatoes from their garden. Two National Trust properties nearby (Erddig and Chirk). Nice walking country too but beware that footpath markers and stiles were sometimes missing and some paths were overgrown through lack of use (not the owners' fault of course!).

Wonderful stay at Broadoak Barn

Loved this property it felt so homely and comfortable, good quality furnishings fixtures and fittings everything you needed was supplied for a wonderful stay. We spent many hours in the lovely conservatory looking out at the beautiful surroundings watching the birds and the horses, not to forget our lovely hosts Wendy and Chuck who were so friendly and helpful in every way, even left us a very generous welcome pack. Thank you and we hope to return one day soon. Wendy, Ken, Linda, Phil & Maisie the toy poodle.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend and the owners were very friendly and helpful with information about dog friendly walks within the area. The extra effort with the Doggy hamper and fresh produce from the garden along with scones home made jam and other goodies really was a lovely surprise. We would definitely return. We loved our stay at Broad Oak Barn! The cottage itself is beautiful and is located in a nice, rural area. It is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Bedrooms are large, spacious and comfortable. On arrival, everything was spotless and super clean and there was a basket in the kitchen with freshly picked fruit and veg from the owners' greenhouse along with a welcome note.. so thoughtful! There was also another basket with bread, scones, jam, tea & coffee and the fridge had butter, milk and a bottle of white wine. We chose this place mainly because we thought it would be ideal since we were taking our dog with us and she also had her own welcome basket with treats, toys, bowls and a towel. The secure garden was perfect for her and we were also allowed to take her off lead to a larger secure field around the cottage once the horses were done grazing for the day, which was great! While you can go for a run outside and there is a route, there are no public footpaths very close to the cottage and the main road outside is very narrow so it isn't ideal for a dog walk, but with the garden and the field, this was not a problem. The owners are very friendly and live just across the cottage and they gave us some great suggestions for nearby walks which are only a few minutes drive away. There are large supermarkets nearby which are easily accessible by car and also some nice pubs. On our last day, we even got some extra fruit and veg to take back with us. A few days after we returned, I received a post from the owners with an item of clothing that we didn't even realise we had left behind.. so kind of them! Overall, we had a great experience at Broad Oak Barn and we will certainly return. :) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The property is in a lovely secluded place but not far from amenities like shops and pubs in Ellesmere. Wendy and Chuck, the owners house is onsite so if you have any problems they are on hand to answer any queries but without imposing on your privacy. A nice welcome addition when we arrived was the bottle of wine, milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee and Wendy’s delicious homemade jam accompanied with scones. In fact everything we wanted was there, it is a well equipped holiday home. If you want a relaxing break this is the place to go. We really enjoyed our stay at Broadoak.

We really enjoyed our stay at Broadoak. The barn is very comfortably furnished and was spotlessly clean, with flowers, some groceries and a bottle of wine provided for our arrival which was much appreciated. This is a really peaceful location and along with a very comfy bed was a great place to completely relax, and parking outside the door made life very easy. Owners Wendy and Chuck were extremely hospitable and on hand if needed but despite the main house being just across the courtyard were never intrusive. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog to stay secure, and the gas BBQ, garden furniture and loungers allowed us to make full use of the great weather that we had. This was an excellent location for exploring this area. Ellesmere is a lovely town and the surrounding Meres provide some scenic walks. A short drive allows you to walk the Llangollen canal paths and walk across the famous Chirk and Pontcysyllte aqueducts, and there are also good walks around the Fenn’s Mosses Nature Reserve. This was one of our best UK holiday stays to date and have booked for next year. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This is a fabulous cottage with everything you could wish for and immaculately clea with the most amazing welcome pack for both humans and doggies. The fully enclosed garden and sitting area with a super barbecue and sun loungers. It would be difficult to find fault. We have been staying in cottages for the last 30 years and this is one of the best if not the best. Ellesmere is just a couple of miles away with lovely walks and plenty of shops. The only slight drawback is that there is no pub or shop within walking distance. Otherwise just perfect!

This is a very comfortable, clean, modern cottage, set nicely within the owners’ property, and immediately felt a relaxing home from home. The fully enclosed south facing garden was great for our dog. We particularly enjoyed the full width conservatory. Everything you could want both for yourselves and your dog was provided. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly, nothing seeming any trouble for them, while at the same time they were not at all intrusive. Ellesmere town was only 5 minutes’ drive away and the walks around the meres and alongside the canals were delightful. This property is one of the best we have been to and like many others we shall book it again.

This was a fabulous venue for a family get together.

This was a fabulous venue for a family get together. The hosts were friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a great weekend away in the sun & were able to make good use of the barbeque. It was a truly memorable short break. We will certainly return.
