Super leuk hotel, leuk ingericht. Fijn ontbijt, zowel a la carte als buffet… Uitzicht was prachtig naar het oude stad en het prachtige gebouw, hotel the Balmoral. Centraal gelegen en de kamers waren net groot genoeg 👍 Voor herhaling vatbaar en ik raad het zeker aan.

Newly renovated, excellent location
The hotel looked newly renovated. I had a view of the city, on Princes street which made the room noisy. But this was something I expected and didn't mind. Coffee, tea, cookies in the room, which looks great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would return.

Tophotel met superinrichting op ideale locatie
Tegenover treinstation , ideaal om stad te bezoeken. Vanaf vliegveld met tram uitstappen op St Andrew Square, even een stukje teruglopen naar Princesstreet linksaf en na 25mtr ingang hotel ! Hotel heeft een schitterende Victoriaans restarant en een zeer hippe lounchbar. Ontbijten kun je beter elders doen, is ook niet incl.

Prima maar een beetje verouderd hotel.
Prima maar verouderd hotel, pluspunt midden in het centrum. Heel vriendelijk personeel! Ontbijt prima, geen uitgebreid buffet, maar wel een ontbijt-menukaart waar je onbeperkt uit kunt bestellen. Slechte WiFi verbinding.

Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding slecht.
Locatie hotel is prima, midden in de stad vlakbij station en bussen naar het vliegveld. Ideaal voor een weekend in Edinburg, wat overigens een prima stad is om een weekend te verblijven. Kamer was verouderd, matrassen van niet al te beste kwaliteit. Doordat de kamer aan de achterzijde van het gebouw lag hadden wij uitzicht op ramen en een dak. De lobby is modern en oogt nieuw, de bar ernaast is prima en gezellig voor een afzakkertje of een borrel in de middag. Wij hebben niet ontbeten in het Hotel. De kamer daarentegen was zeer matig, gehorig, verouderd, smoezelig. Niet direct vies. Ditzelfde geldt voor de badkamer. Het personeel aan de receptie was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Totaal indruk was dat de prijs kwaliteit verhouding behoorlijk scheef is, gewoon te duur voor het gebodene. Overigens was het restaurant/grill dicht wegens verbouwing, dit werd niet vermeld bij het inchecken.

Vlakbij station waar ook de airlink bus stopt. Midden in het centrum. Prima locatie, schoon en netjes, veel keus bij het ontbijt. We hebben genoten.

Good but not great
Lovely staff & nice hotel let down by a few little things. (Heating in the room was broken so a portable oil heater was provided instead. Single glazed windows made the room cold & noisy. The bedside drawers had been fixed shut and there were no shelves in the wardrobe.) The room was a decent size. Breakfast was good. Location excellent.

Room needed a deep clean. Toilet flush broke twice. Shower leaked all over the bathroom and a broken floor tile and others need grouted and for a 4 star hotel which cost a lot of money these things are unacceptable

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location in Edinburgh. All of the sites and transportation were only a few minutes walk from the front door. The staff was nice and extremely helpful. My room was nice and beautifully decorated. The hotel also has great restaurants which added a lot to my trip.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a huge bed and complimentary snacks. I had a great steak at the restaurant and excellent cocktails at the bar. The location was perfect, within walking distance of many attractions.

Hotel Indigo was the first hotel on our trip to Scotland. It was charming and lovely, with a very delicious breakfast in the morning. The hotel bar was fun and the bartender was so friendly. The room was smaller than expected, especially at the price of the room (nearly 400/night). Overall recommend.

Fantastic staff, super helpful every step of the way even in an extremely busy time. Wonderful with holding bags prior to check-in and after check-out so we could continue to do tourism in Edinburgh. Our rooms AC was broken and was very hot all night. The next day when we checked out our train wasn't leaving for a few hours and we asked if we could keep our luggage at the hotel until our train departed so we wouldn't have to carry it around the city. The receptionist was very rude and told us they could not do it. I spent more than 500 dollars on a room for the night and this is how I was treated. Never staying there again. I never write reviews but this was ridiculous.

Vår andra resa slutade med Arvid valde samma hotell. Denna gång fick vi ett rum så långt borta från utgången och receptionen som vi tror gick att få. Mycket trappor och dörrar att ta sig igenom med tung väska var inte så kul. Rummet var fint men golvet lutar ganska mycket. I övrigt ett riktigt trevligt hotell

Loved it —would definitely stay here again
Loved this hotel with its friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and the perfect location for exploring Edinburgh. We also tried the hotel restaurant one evening, which was very good. Had a great stay.

Lightbulb at bedside didn't work. It was reported, but not repaired by the time we left. It made the room dark. The location of the coffee maker made it hard to see because of lack of light. Other than those small details we were happy with the facility
