'This hotel stay was very pleasant. It was one of my stops on my 10 day trip from Boston to Bar Harbor, Maine, and I will say that it was my favorite hotel that I stayed at (out of the 4).
The pros:
-Ideal location: Walking distance to Old Port (best part of Portland IMO), SO MANY delicious food options that you can walk to, tons of shopping nearby, water views, etc.
-Convenient shuttle available at the front desk that will drive you anywhere withing a 5 mile radius, you just have to coordinate...

'We have stayed in this Docents Collections building in the recent past and this room did not live up to our expectations. I thought I had booked a two-bedroom with two bathrooms. Perhaps because I inadvertently got onto Expedia's site and also due to booking fairly last minute, we ended up with a corner room with one bath not attached to either of the two bedrooms, and windows that faced a close by brick wall and parking garage. 'I would not recommend the Moxy to a fellow traveler. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, but there were issues. First, the check-in process was rather long due to issues with their system. When we got to our room there were no cups, so that was a trip down to the lobby. The TV had issues with only some of the channels working. That wouldn’t have bothered me if I could have logged into my streaming apps, but Netflix and Amazon Prime are your only options. 'Honestly when I stay at hotels near the airport they are okay at best. This hotel was actually clean, spacious and well-maintained. My bed and pillows were so comfortable. The bathroom was nice. Breakfast was good and served early which was perfect because I had to leave at 7am. Even the staff were great. I missed my flight and checked in a day late without informing the hotel.
