Art House Zanze has an excellent location in the heart is old town. Old town is full of steps as it is built into the side of a hill, but not very many to get to Art House Zanze. The apartment has many amenities to make it comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to have 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. My only suggestion is the top bathroom has some water leaks that need fixing: the toilet tank leaks down the wall on each flush, and the shower leaks into the grout of the washing machine counter and drips onto the floor. This apartment is considered a 2 star but could easily be higher if these issues were fixed. Even so, good value for the cost.

Although the location was ideal inside the “City Walls” and within walking distance to restaurants, museums, the tram, in order to get to it you need to climb about 7 or 8 flights of stairs with luggage in tow..if you have a bad back or knee injury, you should stet away from this place..the we finally managed to reach the unit and more stairs inside as the way the unit is configured as follows: immediately as you walk in there is a tiny living room/kitchen, then you have to walk a flight of stairs to get to the first room, another flight of stairs to get to first bathroom which is super small (sink so small you need to wash your face sideways), then MORE stairs to get to the second room, than MORE stair to get to the second bathroom, which by the way, has no sink! So you would need to brush teeth and wash face in the shower! I do not recommend this place unless you are an athlete!

Central location.

Really convenient located in the old town. The check in is at a central office. Communication about how to find the office and the appartment was clear and provided well in advance of arrival. The apartment was clean, well maintained and had everything you would need. The air-conditioning was a god send in the hwat wave. The showers were powerful and hot water was plentiful. My only gripe was that the bedrooms were very small and I dont think the beds were full doubles. I found the bedrooms crampt.

Our stay was seamless and perfect. The apartment was comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, water pressure was good... we would definitely stay here again. Perhaps we missed the fine print, but my friend and I were completely surprised that old town Dubrovnik was a vertical city. SO MANY STAIRS! There is a bit of upstairs and downstairs to get to this apartment, and then more stairs inside the apartment. Don't let this discourage you, just didn't want it to surprise you as it did us.

First I will start with some of the perks of this accommodation: - Charming setting featuring the art of Annabel Zanze - Fairly convenient location resting up a few flights of stairs from the Main Street of Dubrovnik Old Town However, despite the charm and location, my friend and I experienced some downsides: - To start, the host informed us of being able to visit their ‘office’ before check-in, where we would be able to store our bags. However, upon arrival we found that the ‘office’ was actually a luggage storage company that you had to pay for. - Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the apartment left something to be desired; sour smelling towels, fake eyelash clusters from a previous guest, clumps of stray hairs scattered around the shower, dirt covered bathroom floors and a broken toilet seat put a damper on our stay - The noises from outside permeated the apartment in a manner which placed us seemingly directly into the conversations of neighboring guests. - Most ‘shocking’ of all was our experience with the shower. On our second night, we experienced an electrifying sensation when the metal components of the shower were touched - the sensation of electricity flowing into you while showering was concerning. The host responded promptly and sent over an electrician the next morning, but no issue with the electricity wiring was found, & the issue persisted. All in all, an acceptable place to sleep and conveniently located along a charming Old Town, but nothing more.
