'We (11 of us) had a great time at this property on Lake Darling. We caught sunfish off of the dock, the kids enjoyed playing in the water around the dock. We rented a pontoon from Lake Darling Resort, grilled, had a couple campfires. Weather was great as well. The only downsize is the busy road that the property is located on, could hear the traffic, but we spent all of our time on the lake side.'

'Cottage is just as described . I had a very comfortable stay at the cottage . Very quiet cute neighborhood. Relaxed at the home and did some trail hiking close by. Checked out local shops in town and bars for music . I was here when ice was still on the lakes but this would be a great summer place to stay for the lake activities I’m sure . I would recommend to reserve for the full weekend stay including all day Sunday so you are not in a rush to leave early Sunday checkout . Enjoyed my stay...

'We fished, kayaked, visited Alexandria’s independent book store and relaxed surrounded by bird sounds. The northern light display soaking in the hot tub pretty much sums it up. For three days we saw no others on the lake. Cabin has that up north Minnesota feel. We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were traveling but kept in touch. Thank You'
