'The lobby was very dirty, and when I got to the room, it was filthy, and there were bugs—like bedbugs—crawling on the bed. When I spoke to the person at the front desk, they told me it was the only room available and that if I wanted to stay, that was the room available, and that if I left, they wouldn't refund my money, because I was the one who didn't want to stay.'

'This is a trap house. I needed a last minute room. Front desk staff is nice, but my room was awful and the whole place was terrifying to have my child with me. Mouse droppings everywhere, a ring of mold on top of the shower head. Something smeared on the walls that looked like poop, so many burn holes in the comforter it looked like Swiss cheese. Within 30 mins of checking in I went out to my car to see an emergency rescue team entering a room by me. I can’t believe Expedia allows this'

'There were numerous communication issues between me and the staff and managers at one point our room got up to 77° and stayed like that for hours because there was no one on staffed correct the issue although we got the historic room fee waved. I don’t believe that the staff truly cared about our experience in the hotel as a whole considering that it was where we were staying to get married. I wrote an email to management at 8:30 AM and it has now been 12 hours and I have yet to get a phone call...

'The rooms are rather old and in need of a refurb: blinds on window (in two separate rooms) did not work, and in both rooms the safe was broken. I had to ask on three separate occasions to have house keeping clean the room and replace towels etc. House keeping eventually cleaned my room on the 4th day, despite the first request on day 2. This is not a low cost hotel, and I expected better. I would not stay here again'

'Carpet was old and needed replacement and cleaning. Quite smelly Once I mentioned to the front desk, they got maintenance on it and reported it to corporate. Needs some updates. Could not use the gym or pool area Gym smelled bad not cleaned though lots of housekeeping around and the pool water was and hot tub were merky. It was also insane that they were charging for unsecured parking that used to be free.'

'We loved the quaintness of the room, complete with a gas fireplace and floor to ceiling drapes. Having a restaurant right on site was incredible. I especially loved the girl dinner deal! We enjoyed the stay and the property was beautiful.'
