I’m just going to write a super honest review. I’ll start with the good: easy check in, friendly staff, plentiful parking, proximity to shopping and eating and interstate, room was spacious, weekend front desk and breakfast staff were delightful. Pool was nice, maybe needed a a little clean but otherwise nice. We did a quick trip into downtown Detroit and that was easily accessible from this hotel.
The not-so-good- the pull out couch had the used linen on it complete with crumbs and hair from the previous guess, dirty dishes from previous guests was left in dishwasher. We had to change the bed and do dishes immediately after we checked in. These are things paying customers at a place of hospitality should not encounter - ever. Beyond this, our room was not cleaned once during our 3 day stay, not even garbage picked up or fresh towels offered. I’m hoping this is because it was over the holiday season and they are short staffed, not because this is their standard.
On our second night’s stay we were kept up all night with someone stomping around and pacing back and forth - all - night - long. They only stopped from 1am-4am. These guests should probably stay on the ground floor in the future. It’s really loud for guests underneath. Not the hotel’s fault really, but just added to the overall feeling of “okay”
