On the plus side - nice location, pretty views, very helpful and friendly staff, and our room had great windows. Negatives- the shower drained slowly. The room inexplicably had a motion-sensor light that turned it on whenever you walked by. Seriously long waits for elevators. Long line and wait at check-in.

Suites do not sleep more than 2, elevators extremely slow. Kicking everyone out hotel rooms at the same time to back up elevators lacks hospitality. Why not stager checks out if you know you have faulty elevators and guest staying on all floors. Front desk staff staring at the guest as they leave with less than friendly faces screams hospitality and come back. Valet staff definitely nicer than the hotel staff. And the lady sanitizing the room keys couldn’t even muster a thank you for staying with us. And why are you sanitizing the keys on the front counter as guest check out? This couldn’t be done in back or out of the sight of the paying customer?

Good location. Less than average clean and and least half of the staff we interacted with were either terse or simply annoyed and basic inquiries. I was hung up on multiple times when calling the front desk.

Nice hotel in a great location for a trip to downtown Detroit for business or fun and good value to boot. Staff at front desk and throughout the hotel are very friendly and helpful and really make you feel welcome.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. For the most part it wasn't bad. Our room wasn't cleaned well. I know this because there were safety pins on the bathroom floor. If the floor was Swept this wouldn't have been missed. The carpet wasn't vacuumed as well. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming.

We showed up at 4:45 to check in and was told it would be another 20 min until our room was ready, we waited over 30 before going to dinner and returning later to check in. Upon getting to our room stuff was falling off the wall and the curtains were broke, there was also a dirty towel left behind by the window. They gave us some free appetizer coupons that we used but it took over 20 min for those to come out too! For 2 fried items. Theres no microwave in the room but there are small fridges. For the price we paid i wouldnt stay here again

Well one thing I really liked was the man who checked us into the hotel. He was kind, funny and considerate ... so considerate that when I forgot my phone and wallet and then went to lunch, he ran after us to bring it to me. Then our room high up on the 17th floor had a magnificent view of the riverfront and Canada! Yes I could see Canada from our window.

The staff was great. Lobby and bar area were great. Rooms are terrible. I had a “suite.” It was beyond tiny. Smaller than most regular rooms. The bedroom doors were windows and the extremely tiny bathroom was in the bedroom. So the kids would have to come in there to use it. Window frame was falling off, shower leaked, the futon couch was full of stains, and it was overall not clean. Way overpriced for what it was.

I liked the staff and the rooms were nice. I wanted riverfront view, but i was able to get part city, part river, it was nice. My husband and i were in desperate need of a mental break and we were able to get it.
