This hotel had a lot going for it, and was adequate for our needs, with a great price. Nobody really stays at a hotel this close to a major airport for a vacation. I expect most guests are business or personal travelers who stay for a night either before their flight, or on returning. If that's what you're looking for, it does the job.
We live some hours from Detroit, and used a parking app to stow our car in this hotel's secure lot while we spent 16 days in Europe. Our return trip had six and eight hour layovers in Rome and Istanbul, so after a 40 hour journey we decided to stay here one night to recuperate before driving home. It was a good choice, with some qualifications.
First, the free shuttle departs the hotel only on the hour and half-hour, and must travel between the international and domestic terminals, so, depending on when you arrive at the pickup point, it can take some time to get to to the hotel. The driver is courteous and efficient.
