BECH VIEW WAS OBSTRUCTED, BUT A 2MINUTE, WALK. GREAT HOUSE, GREAT LOCATION, WALK TO CAPT DAVES RESTRAUNT, NEIGHBORHOOD IS AWESOME. GREAT WALKING/ RUNNING PATH. SHOPS & EATING IN WALKING DISTANCE.

So, I'll start with the bad.I took off a star because communication with Beachview Rentals was absolutely dismal. I called on 3 separate occasions and left 3 different voicemails and never, got a call back. I tried calling to make my second payment early, to figure out what kitchen supplies they had (was planning on cooking for a big group), and because the email they sent with the guest portal was faulty. When I reached out through VRBO, they said they would call then never did. They claimed summer was a busy season, but never got back to me nor did they apologize.This was inconvenient because I was coming from far away. Had they communicated with me and been clear about what they had/didn't have, I could have brought necessary cooking supplies / seasonings instead of having to buy them on the fly.They provided 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, a single roll of paper towels and 2 trash bags for a 14 person, 5 night stay. This is unacceptable in my opinion. There were also only 5 coffee mugs--I would suggest buying more for the house. Take "cooking supplies" off the listing. There wasn't a cutting board nor were there oven mitts--which are pretty basic cooking items.Beyond that, the place was beautiful and clean. Beds and furniture were incredibly comfortable. Keurig Duo worked quite nicely. The margarita glasses were a nice touch. Being so close to the beach was amazing and there was plenty of room for my group to hang out!

Our vacation was great! Plenty of room for 6 adults and 5 kids ages 3-9. Besides the beach, pool, and our house, Destin has a lot to offer! We will be back! Thank you!

Family trip

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Our first family trip with our family from Michigan. We had 1infant, 7 kids, and 5 adults. It was very spacious and clean! There were items for the beach available so we did not have to purchase any. Cleaning supplies were there to help with the mess from the sand and kids. Distance to the beach, pool, volleyball court was within walking distance. This was an added plus given the amount of kids!

Awesome Vacation Home

Our family vacation was an experience we will cherish forever. The home was spacious and very accommodating to our needs. The property manager was very responsive and attentive. Beautiful home and located feet away from the beach. We can’t wait to book our next vacation with Beachview Vacation Homes!

The house was perfect for the 12 of us. It was clean and the beds were all comfortable. Loved how close of a walk to the beach. The only complaint we would have is that the oven didn't work. Other than that, we would stay here again.

The location of the home was perfect and a quick walking distance to the beach. The neighborhood was cute and clean. We liked the volleyball and basketball/tennis court. The home however needs some attention. I'm sure it was cleaned to the best of the cleaners ability, however some stuff just needed to be replaced or re-done. Splatters on the walls and doors, missing/broken blinds, stains all over the couches (poor choice for white couch covers), clogged bathroom sinks, broken shelves/drawers in the refrigerator, a sticky wet liquid leaking from the bottom of the fridge, broken outdoor furniture. Smell in one of the bunkbed rooms. My son said his sheets were stained. Also, the owner left his broken down jeep in the driveway, impacting parking space.

June 2024 stay

Overall the house was fine. The space was adequate. The location was great. However, there are several things about the house that really need some attention. 1. The owner leaves a vehicle in the driveway. This took away from the driveway space. The promotional photos do not show this vehicle. 2. The rugs/carpets in the house are old, worn out, and dirty. They should be replaced. 3. The sink in the 2nd floor bathroom does not drain well. 4. The commode in the 2nd floor bathroom does not always flush. 5. The patio area outside the 1st floor bedroom is a wild mess. It needs to be cut, cleaned, and overall improved. 6. The bedroom on the 1st floor with bunk beds has a strange smell. 7. The refrigerator was not cool when we arrived. It is missing a drawer. One of the racks in the door continued to fall out. 8. The dining area needs some type of window covering for the afternoon sun. 9. One of the outlets in the dining area did not work. 10. One of the outside chairs on the 2nd floor fell through when I sat in it. 11. Overall the inside walls need to be repainted and the floors need to be thoroughly cleaned/restained

Spring Break 2024

Google maps took us to the wrong place but once we found, house was in nice location! Walked every day to Pompano Joe’s and even Whales Tail, which is further down. The designated beach area is a small space and located between 2 private zones so be prepared to walk a little. We had 11 in our group so kitchen wasn’t equipped with enough dishes. Luckily we had brought plasticware and paper plates/bowls. Property manager quick to respond when we had 2 empty propane tanks and master toilet didn’t work on arrival. The house could use some updates but served us well. Please know the 1 bedroom on first floor has beds that are actually anchored into wall and hanging with rope that has a 200 lb weight limit! We didn’t have little kids with us so created a slight issue.

It was a nice place but definitely had its flaws. The floor was disgusting upon arrival. Floors made everyone’s feet black with the grit and grime. No trash bags and says it’s stocked kitchen but only has a few dishes for a house that sleeps 14. Also the flooring in the bedrooms is probably great for sand but hurts the bottom of your feet you can’t hardly walk on it barefoot. Also, the jacuzzi tub didn’t work and no hot water in the kitchen no dish soap so hard to wash the few dishes we have.

Family vacaton

We had a great stay. The only thing was the garbage disposal had a horrible smell. They came in and tried to fix it but the next day was the same. I just put dawn dishwashing liquid down the drain each morning and it was fine. It was a little walk to the beach, we we were like two houses from the pool. Other than the multiple trips up the stairs everyday it was a pleasant experience.

Next best thing to being right on the beach.

Excellent property. Very close to the beach. We didn’t time it but I’d say around a 3 minute walk. The house was very clean, had ample space, right across from community pool & easy access to scenic 98. Although the property says private beach access, the private beach is very small & gets very crowded. We walked down to the nearest public beach that had more room to spread out. The only flaw to the property was the dryer. Even though the washer & dryer appeared to be relatively new we had to run the dryer several cycles on high heat to dry towels. Would definitely stay here again!

Senior Trip

This place was perfect for our group. It was a good location and proximaty to the beach. The Moms enjoyed walking to Camille’s, a local coffee shop each morning (1.5 miles away). There was enough room for all of us 8 seniors and 7 Moms. Beds and couches were comfortable. My only complaint (but not really a complaint-more just something to be aware of) is the kitchen is only big enough for just a couple people to be in while cooking. If you opened the fridge or oven, those in the kitchen had to maneuver around it. The dining area however, was large so it was easy to work around and the big dining table was awesome! We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others.
