Because his unit is a gulf front, it gets a full view of both. This was our family's 14th year at Silver Dunes for Thanksgiving, 13 years in this unit, and we hope to be able to enjoy many more years here.

Relaxing week at the beach with family

Perfect location being the corner condo! Beautiful view and easy access to the beach. We spent so much time on the patio. Very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Would happily stay here again!

To add to that, the airline lost our luggage! BUT, we were still so thankful to be at Silver Dunes. Watching the storms was an interesting new activity. The condo was perfect and relaxing and the staff and management team could not have been more helpful! Already ready for the next trip to our favorite place to be!

The office staff are the nicest people you’d ever want to meet and bend over backwards to make things easy on you! The beach service is second to none, and the location is fabulous! The beach is beautiful, in crowded, and you’re a short walk from the Back Porch restaurant! The condominium we stayed in was beautiful and well maintained with a beautiful view! Our favorite restaurants were 10 minutes away! Highly recommend Silver Dunes!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying in this same condo during Memorial Day week for 8 years. The property is in dire need of updating. It smells like mold as soon as you walk in the door. The kitchen and bathrooms need remodeling and restocking. The living room furniture needs replacing. Most of the blinds are broken The wicker dining table and outdoor furniture is in good shape. We love the location of this condo and have many years of wonderful memories. Every year I leave a detailed list of items that are missing, broken or needs replacing but don’t see much in the way of change. On a positive note, we did appreciate the new refrigerator and tile floors. I was hoping that picking up the carpet would improve the musty smell but it didn’t.

We were disappointed that there is no longer a towel exchange. We like the new evening activities. As always the beach was great and George and staff took care of all of our beach needs. NOT WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING FROM SILVER DUNES

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying we LOVE Silver Dunes. We have been renting condos at Silver Dunes for our family vacations for more than 10 years. The addition of the activities throughout the week was awesome, especially for our son. This year my husband decided to splurge and rent one of the beach front units in celebration of my retirement. We looked at the units online at the beginning of the year and selected C 1203 for our 2018 stay. We were so excited! We have stayed in units in the penthouse and D sections and felt this unit would surely blow them all away. When we arrived we were instantly disappointed. The unit was poorly cleaned. The bedroom end tables had sticky residue all over them and even a ring where the lamp had sat unmoved after a spill or something. While we unpacked our son sat on the master bedroom floor building legos and came out with a clump of hair stuck to his creation. When one of his balls rolled under the couch he also found food and a baby toy that had been missed by the cleaning crew. The tubs/showers and baseboards in both bathrooms had mildew around the edges. The unit was also out of date and in need of upgrades. The carpet in the bedrooms was stained and bleached in spots. The ceilings had obviously been repaired and then only partially repainted in the master bedroom. Of the 5 television remotes found in the unit only 1 would work any of the televisions. None of the windows would stay open so there was no way to enjoy the breeze coming off the gulf or the sound of the ocean. Finally, the best part of the unit, the patio, wasn't even usable because the slightest amount of rain flooded it due to the tile not being sloped towards either of the drains. Water from the units above drained onto the patio as well.We will be returning to Silver Dunes next year, but moving back to a different building.

We definitely will be staying in the beach view units again next year. Unit C 1203 had everything we needed for our week in Destin. Nicely decorated with all the amenities needed. Beautiful weather all week long. George and his crew, excellent service as always. We have been staying at Silver Dunes over the last 25+ years! Love our home away from home. Thanks Silver Dunes!

This year was different due to George Noble's retirement from the beach service...he's been there since the beginning (1975) for me. The new guys will make the adjustment and get to know everyone personally because that is what everyone loves about Silver Dunes...you're treated like family...everyone knows your name! All of our needs are always (including this year) addressed promptly and with a friendly and professional attitude. I highly recommend this place that has been part of our family for four generations now. My parents brought us here as kids and now my grandson has already made his second visit and he's only 18 months old!!

Reviewer Comments: The pictures and description of this unit are outdated and incorrect. The dryer is inoperable and there is no bath tub for children. They did not disclose this to us. The view from the balcony is amazing if you don’t mind the poor condition of the unit. I think property management should disclose the issues with guests when booking and/or prior to arrival.
