Walnut Place a Charming Home in Historic Valley Junction area of West Des Moines

This 4 Bedroom home with large kitchen and gathering areas is completely furnished and ready for you to enjoy. You will love the charming features of this home. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, one bedroom has a twin bed and a full-size daybed with a twin size trundle! Another bedroom has a full-size bed and a twin size bed. For an additional guest charge there is also a memory foam full size sofa sleeper in the living room and three roll out queen size mattress/beds. There is a full bath on the second floor, a full bath on the first floor and a really cool locker style bathroom with 2 showers 2 sinks and a toilet in the basement. There is a washer and dryer as well. The lovely shaded patio area provides outdoor space and seating as well. The home is within walking distance to Historic Valley Junction, where there is great shopping and entertainment. You will be close to parks, pools, biking trails as well as the Racoon River park. This is a great property and very conveniently located. It is less than 15 minutes from the Airport and Downtown Des Moines. Plenty of off street parking. The host was so kind and helpful! Our family was in town for a wedding, and the house worked for us. But, it was a bit dated; for instance, the bathtub was chipping. Up stairs had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, which was within the one bedroom. This meant the people in the other bedroom had to either go through thebedroom where people were sleeping to get to the bathroom, or go downstairs. So, it was awkward.

We enjoyed our stay, and the host was very accommodating and pleasant. The place was homey and authentic. The shower/tub on the main floor did not drain well. The host had someone come over and work on it. It helped some, but didn't totally fix the problem. Also, there were no outlets in the upstairs bathroom. We had a lot of people getting ready in the mornings, so this made things a little hectic.All and all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend our host.

Girls getaway
