Amistad Lake House Del Rio Tx

  • Best location on the lake for families, couples and dedicated sportsmen who want to be on the lake when the sun comes up. Five minutes to the nearest boat ramp. Three bedroom, two bath with 2200 sq ft eight miles north of Del Rio Tx. Living area is tile as well as both bathrooms with carpet in the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed, guest bedroom #1 has a queen and a single while guest bedroom #2 has a queen and a double. Depending on sleeping arrangements it should accommodate 6-8. A great place to enjoy the lake, fishing, hunting or nearby tourist attractions. Del Rio is without doubt the nicest border town in Texas. Shopping, Texas oldest vineyard, museums, movie theater and great places to eat are an easy 15 min drive from the house. Seminole Canyon State Park is just a 20 min drive and a must see. Safety is not an issue here as it can be in other towns along the Rio Grande. Please no pets. Come and enjoy!

    Our stay was wonderful. The house was very clean and comfortable with lots of room. The property has lots of wildlife with many deer and great birding in the area. The host provided very timely responses to all of our questions. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the property to anyone visiting the area.

    We are repeat customers at this property, it is very nice & very clean. We fish several tournaments a year at Amistad, we will definitely be back. Owners are also tournament fishermen, so they know what is needed , and very easy to work with. KRooke

    We arrived at night and found the property easily. Once inside the room ES were welcoming, large and very comfortable. The kitchen had all amenities and although we did not cook any real meals, we could have easily done so. WiFi and cellular worked very well and we had no problems with the televisions. The host provided easy instructions for check in and check out. We had no complaints and highly recommend this property.

    We mainly used it just for sleeping accommodations as my nephew and his family were just transferred from UK to the AFB in Del Rio and there were too many of us to all stay at their house. This house is really big with plenty of beds. Great communication with owner and it was a great trip! Also amazing sunrise!

    EXCELLENT! Home away from home!

    Let me start my review by letting you all know what a great guy Mike the owner of the home is. You can tell Mike really cares and wants everyone to enjoy their stay in his home. He wanted to make sure we made it safely and to let him know if we needed anything while we were there. Of course, we never needed a thing because the house had everything anyone would need. There were plenty of towels, laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, cookware and coffee. All of the comforts of home. The view of the lake from the front porch is gorgeous. I loved to sit on the porch in the morning and watch the beautiful sunrise over the lake. The colors were amazing. The deer are like pets there. I bought several loaves of bread and they practically ate out of my hand. There was one deer that came running up to me anytime I went outside almost like a puppy. Mike also has a deer feeder in the back that goes off in the morning. So you will see plenty of deer. The neighborhood is very nice and really quiet. There is a Dollar General 5 minutes down the road if you need to pick something up quickly or you can drive 10 to 15 minutes into town where there is a Wal-Mart and HEB. Del Rio has a ton of restaurants too. I took a drive around Lake Amistad and it is so pretty. I have stayed in several VRBOs and this has to be my favorite. I felt safe and comfortable like at home. My son is in the Army and stationed in Del Rio and I definitely plan on staying at Mike's again. Thank you Mike for everything. The time I got to spend with my son at your house is priceless and we really appreciate your hospitality.
