'I thought I was booking a room at the historic McMenamin's Gearhart Hotel. Our room ended up being in the annex next door. I asked if I clicked to choose the annex accidentally and was told that they randomly book folks into there. I should have called to specify. Oh, I didn't know. Next time.'

'This motel is exactly what you see, very basic, but good. Upon entering, the light scent of chlorine reassures you that everything is clean and well-maintained. It’s centrally located, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I can imagine that in the summer months, being so close to the beach, this would be a great base for an amazing vacation.'

'Everything was great. Though the pictures of the view in the add on Expedia were deceiving. Front facing Ocean does not mean there is a view or the ocean and the photos describing the room features showed a view of the ocean, and we did not get a view, we got a glimpse of the ocean in about 10% of the the view. The rest was a view of shrubs. Still enjoyed the visit just disappointed with the actual view.'

'We had a wonderful time at the Inn. The staff was exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful. The location was excellent and peaceful, and the properly was well maintained. Has now become my go to spot in seaside. I cant recommend enough.'

'The location on the river was nice but we felt it was overpriced after we saw it. Our room was very outdated and dark inside. The carpet was not clean and lots of visible dirt in the corners. The internet and cable was out for the entire evening and there was no compensation for this. Neighboring businesses had internet so it was localized. We felt we paid too much for this hotel.'

'It was such a enjoyable experience! The location and the room layout is perfect. I love the big windows with the coastal views. It's perfect for a family getaway trip. Will come back in the future!'

'First I must say the room was worth it on view and beach proximity alone. Incredible and exactly what we hoped for. We made multiple walks to the beach at different times. Absolutely adored everything about this element. The check in staff hosted at the other location was quite sub-par. The lack of on-site Four Winds staff is a challenge for a variety of reasons, but going to a second location and dealing with a rude clerk makes it worse. 'Stayed for 3 nights, for the price of over $300 a night I would typically expect a functioning mini fridge, a balcony of some sort or even a pool / jacuzzi! We got a “partial ocean view” meaning stand in a specific spot to see the ocean only. I wouldn’t stay here again honestly. I do want to note we did call about the mini fridge and didn’t have a need for it to be fixed, I called in fear we’d get charged for a non operational fridge'

'Elevators hardly worked hot tub was out of order bedding and towels had stains lights in the room shorting out was supposed to be a beach view instead we got a view of the parking lot'
