The Coach House

The iconic Coach House (c1854) is situated on 956sqm of lake frontage with beautifully restored gardens and some of the best, uninterrupted and commanding views of Lake Daylesford.

The house has been renovated to sensitively blend contemporary living and comforts while preserving and show casing the historic features.

The property offers 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms accommodating up to a maximum of 12 guests. Bedrooms comprise:
- 2 King bedrooms, each allowing to be configured as king or 2 sing beds
- 2 Queen bedrooms
- 1 bedroom that can be configured as a King (that can split to 2 single beds) plus 2 trundles enabling the room to cater up to 4 people.

The house also offers 2 large bathrooms plus a separate powder room, laundry and a variety of spaces for guests to relax and entertain in. There are two sitting/lounge areas offering opportunities for groups to 'break out' and or individuals to enjoy some quiet time. Both the dining room and the grand balcony overlooking the lake allow for all occupants to dine together, while the gardens and the first floor terrace provide plenty of beautiful space to relax and unwind.

The kitchen is fitted out with a comprehensive range of equipment and utensils to please those who love to bake and cook, while the large gas BBQ on the grand terrace takes the meaning of 'cooking with a view' to a new level.

Entertainment provided includes flat screen TVs, DVD, CD/i-pod docking station, extensive book, CD and DVD libraries, large range of games and puzzles (for all ages).

The house is pet and child friendly meaning all the family is welcome.

Bookings for the house are for the whole house.

The Coach House is perfectly positioned and set up to entertain or relax at home, walk the lake, enjoy lake water activities, visit the neighbouring Boat House Restaurant, The Lakehouse or stroll into town. This is a remarkable property in a striking location.

Being proudly managed directly by the owner, the attention to detail is as the most discerning guest would expect of such a spectacular property.

We loved the clean house, the lakeside location, warmth of the fireplace and everything the Coach had to offer. On a weekend filled with rain - we found the perfect house to nest in with boardgames activities, movies, cards and celebrations with friends and families. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of staying here. The house has so much history and a great restoration inside and out makes it looks marvelous.

An amazing birthday at Daylesford Coach House

A lovely property. Everything we hoped for. All ten friends who called in on Saturday were blown away with the grandeur of the building. Our family were totally chuffed with the facilities, the extensive garden and the views from the balconies. Congratulations on bringing this delightful old lady back from its former run-down shell.

Amazing property in a perfect location

As we were getting married at the nearby Lakehouse, we needed somewhere close but big enough the house us and a number of overseas guests. The coach house was the ideal location, a wonderful building steeped in history with ample space and amazing grounds overlooking the lake on either side. The host, Fiona, provided clear instructions and responded to all questions quickly. Definitely recommend and we would love to stay again in the future.

Great for large families

The location of this property is right on the lake with walk trails along spring sites right out the door. The place was very clean and the beds very comfortable. About a 15-20 minute walk into Daylesford or a few minutes drive. Definitely would stay here again with our extended family!

The photos didn’t do it justice, I was worried these were good photos and the home wouldn’t live up to them, but instead the photos don’t bring the soul of the home alive. The Coach House was fantastic. We go a couples weekend every year for the past 14 year with 6 couples and go between NSW or Victoria. This year Daylesford and what a fabulous long weekend. It also was The Chili festival- very colorful. The house was beautiful decorated with plenty of everything in the well stocked kitchen. We spent quite allot of time out on the back balcony overlooking the lake. Thanks for having us Fiona

The Coach House is very grand residence.

We had a girls weekend away. The Coach House easily accommodated the 14 guests. We visited one of the day spas. It was an easy walk to the boathouse for lunch. Numerous restaurants for dinner within walking distance. We had breakfast on the verandah overlooking the lake it was so relaxing! The large couches were comfy as were the beds. There was air conditioning in every bedroom. Everything we needed was on hand. There was even a lovely welcome hamper. A wonderful weekend had by all. Would highly recommend staying here!
