The great:
The facilities here are second-to-none, whether in the Philippines or almost anywhere around the world. Beautiful architecture, well maintained, clean, and well appointed. The pier is beautiful, and they have fast, high-quality, air-conditioned catamarans to transfer guests to and from Davao.
We stayed in the Junior Suite, which is the entry-level room choice. I am 100% satisfied with the room appointments, furniture quality, bed comfort, bathroom functionality, and aesthetics. The view is fantastic from the balcony, and the air conditioning is great. Everything related to the room works properly and fits the decor. The room is very spacious with high ceilings and a nice ceiling fan.
The staff is 100% fantastic and always friendly and outgoing. This is partly a Philippines thing, this is a country of friendly and happy people, but the staff here is even very friendly to each other, waving to peers when the opportunity presents itself.
The food is generally fantastic, and there are multiple restaurants inside the resort.
The BAD:
1. The internet is not good. Bandwidth is not adequate for volume of users. On the weekends it slows to almost a stop.
2. On our stay of 5 nights, 2 of the nights the bar was closed for private events. I feel I paid for use of the entire facility, and they denied access to a portion of it without my knowledge or agreement
