Casa Asilah is in the beautiful Spanish village of Cútar. It offers panoramic mountain views and is a perfect place to relax and take in the vibe. In the province of Malaga, 50 minutes outside the city, 30 mins drive from beaches of the Mediterranean and Lake Vinuela close by. From its hilltop location, the rooftop terrace offers spectacular panoramic views over the mountains of the Sierra de Tejeda.
The house is perfect for families and groups and offers a spacious home from home experience in a spectacular location. Crowning the dramatic landscape, Cútar is an enchanting Moorish village and sits 300m above sea level. It offers panoramic mountains views of Mount Moroma and surrounding countryside.
The house is decorated in a traditional Moorish style and is brimming with rustic character. Three bedrooms (1 double room and 2 twin rooms) each with a Juliette balcony overlooking the church.
On the ground floor is the lounge, dining room and modern fully equipped kitchen offering lots of space to make yourself at home. A family bathroom on the first floor and a second shower w/c downstairs.
Outside there are two terraces to relax and enjoy the views. A private, mid-terrace with a staircase leading to the large roof terrace with expansive views over the village and mountains. Sunrise is definitely worth the early wake up to see!
Cútar has a small shop, a well stocked pharmacy and a village bars which takes advantage of the village plaza offering wonderful views. Larger supermarkets, banks and petrol stations can be found a few minutes drive away in nearby villages. Cutar now has a communal swimming pool which is open in the summer months (mid July to Mid Sept) as do the other nearby villages which you can use for a small entrance fee. There is no charge to use the Cutar pool.
The village is very peaceful and is a great base for walking, hiking trails and cycling. Trails can be picked up right by the house. It is a great place to experience traditional Andalusian life.
Cútar is typical of the Axarquia region with narrow, sloped streets meaning it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. We recommend hiring a car to get around and travelling to Cutar.
There are ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms, the lounge and the dining room. There are also floor fans for the warmer summer months.
For the cooler months, there is an electric fire in the lounge and 2 wall mounted heaters in the living area and main bedroom.
