Welcome to the Red Marlin! Located on the corner of Beach Access 1A and 11th Street, this island gem is approximately a 400 yard walk (3-5 minutes) to the beach or a minute by beach cart. When you're not enjoying the close proximity to the beach, relax and enjoy a cold beverage while taking in the cool gulf breeze alongside your own heated pool. The pool area features a beautiful "beach-entry" style in-ground pool, BBQ grill, surfboard cabana table, and beautiful island décor to top off this coastal bend retreat.

With 12 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, the Red Marlin accommodates up to 32 guests and is ideal for family gatherings, weddings, reunions, fishing trips, and corporate retreats. The property is divided into two separate floors--each with six bedrooms (two with king beds, two with queen beds, and two bunk rooms) and four baths. Each has a large living/dining area where your group can gather and a full kitchen. The upper floor has a balcony overlooking Beach Access Road 1-A and a large covered deck overlooking the pool that is perfect for morning coffee or a cold drink at the end of the day. The lower floor has a large covered patio where you can relax after a swim in the pool.

Across the patio is another building housing the game rooms and laundry facilities. Downstairs you'll find ping-pong, foosball, and a game table to entertain the kids after a day at the beach. Upstairs is a game/poker room with a wet bar and a laundry room with two sets of machines. Wireless internet and smart televisions with a standard cable package are also provided.

The Red Marlin is in the Port A "golf cart zone" which means you can use a cart to get to the beach, shop or dine downtown, or just enjoy the many attractions on the island. The beach is a five-minute walk or about a minute by cart or car and there is shopping within a block of the property.

The Red Marlin is unmatched on the island. It's a place you'll want to return to and make lasting memories. We hope you visit us in iconic Port A soon!

Poor Customer Service/Management

Place is spacious for big group but rating 2Star because of poor customer service.We contacted the host via text & phone about some electrical light issues. The lights would flicker on and off. Noticed this the 1st night, but it was not bad & everyone could still enjoy the night. The lights flickering on and off got so bad on 2nd day towards nighttime that we had to cook dinner and eat in the dark. It was flashing on and off very fast like club party lights, then died for 10-15mins & came back on. This repeated throughout the night. Messaged & sent videos as proof. He took no acknowledgment & said the previous two guests before did not mention this & to his knowledge, there are no electrical issues with the lights because an electrician has already come out to check and everything is fine. Pretty much he was telling us to just deal with the lights flashing on and off like we’re in the club. Any customer spending 3k to rent this place would be upset that they are dismissing this & asking something to be done. Despite the concern, we stayed until the next morning to checkout. We did get 1 night refunded & they sent a message saying "we accepted a refund so why did we continue to stay the night". Sending that last “petty” message shows how poorly it was managed.Updated: host confirmed that there was an electrical issue with the wiring & there was nothing they could have done. In my opinion, they are well aware of this issue and it has happened before but they fail to fix it.

Exactly what we needed for the weekend!

The house was perfect for what we needed. It is exactly what is pictured and had plenty of space for 14 teenagers to spread out and enjoy their time in the house. The heated pool was great for our end of Feb stay, the game room got lots of use, both living rooms were large enough for us to hangout and enjoy being a team, and it is a short walk over the hill to the beach!

Best Birthday Ever

I celebrated my 25th birthday in Port Aransas with my large group of friends and family and it was the most amazing birthday I’ve ever had! There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their privacy. The weather was chilly so the home was perfect for us to stay in and have a wonderful time. If we ever visit Port Aransas again, we will definitely be staying here!

Sadly, Hurricane Beryl caused the cancellation of our annual family vacation. The owners were very helpful with advice and options, including a refund. We have booked the house for next year, fingers crossed.

Great floor plan. The house is decorated beautifully. The hostess Bobbi was very accommodating. Everything we needed was in the house. We brought our own towels. My suggestion would be to have the checkout instructions printed and taped on the wall upstairs and downstairs. Thank you for hosting us in this beautiful house.

Deep sea get away

Took a few of our team members to Port A to do some deep sea fishing. It’s not easy to find a place that will sleep 17 adults each in their own bed but this place had the set up with room to spare and the location was awesome. Would recommend staying here for large groups.

Amazing Location,

This location was amazing to walk to the beach for Sandfest. The gameroom and pool were wonderful for our large extended family. Having 2 smaller kitchens instead of one large one was not great, but manageable. Be aware you are on a corner with a decent amount of traffic heading to and from the beach so you will hear street noise. Tons of beds, space, and parking! Wonderfully communicative and available hosts. Thank you so much!

Great place for large group

Overall the place was in a great location, management company was very flexible and accommodating. House was perfect for many people with areas to feel like there is a lot of space. The cart rental place next door gave us great deals on rentals. We had a wonderful time together. Negatives were: cleanliness (especially assuming all guests remit a large cleaning fee like we did), the towel’s being old and something you would use for cleaning not personal use, in need of updates, there were no extra blankets and the beds were very noisy and not comfortable in almost every one of the bedrooms.
