  • Welcome to the Boney Falls Bungalow.

    We are so excited to open our family home to you- we have put so much love into making this place truly somewhere special.

    At the Boney Falls Bungalow, you will find that while very spacious and accommodating, there is also no shortage of coziness. We have 4 large bedrooms with soft linens, comfortable beds, and stunning views. Our home sits on a very large plot of private land, right in the heart of Cornell, MI. Our space provides endless possibilities for outdoor games, bonfires at night while stargazing, a kayak around Boney Falls Basin, quiet and peaceful mornings with coffee enjoying the serenity from any one of our three decks, a full day of fishing, and so, SO much more.

    We are an easy day trip to popular destinations like downtown Escanaba, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, downtown Marquette and others! Although if you plan to just stay in and enjoy your time exploring right outside the front door, we don't blame you! Our location offers wonderful fishing directly from the backyard, you can leave on your ATV/ORV right from the front door and hit trails, we even have a kayak rental business right across the street. It really has it all!

    Our fully renovated home comes with everything you need for a relaxing, worry-free vacation. Our large, fully stocked kitchen is ideal for entertaining, or making a large homecooked meal. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and include all the linens you will need. We offer a host of family games as well as roku smart TV's for entertainment and an extra-large dining table to enjoy them at!

    We are thrilled to offer our beloved home to you and your guests and are honored to host!

Nice property! A lot was provided, games, kayaks, outdoor activities, firewood/pit, plenty of towels and kitchen items! The washer and dryer were nice!

Clean house on a beautiful property within an hour of Marquette or escanaba. House was fully furnished and had everything we needed. Loved that there is a washer and dryer and tons of towels. There is no beach access to the lake, but there is kayak access. Upstairs bedrooms did get warm, but we had 100 degree weather. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This was a great property for our family vacation. The property is little over an hour drive to Munising, Marquette and Manistique. Due to the Canada fires smoke we found indoor things to do and enjoyed playing games at the house. The weather was windy and cool temperatures. We had a wonderful time even though we didn’t catch any fish and the kids couldn’t swim. I recommend this property. Thank you David and Mary

All things considered, a wonderful place for our 4 day family getaway with adult children, spouses, and grandchildren, 30 minute drive to Gaylord Beach is highly recommended. Approximately 1 hour drive to Pictured Rock boat tours also highly recommended. The only misunderstanding was “sand beach and swimming”. The property is on a flow age directly above the dam. Rocky shoreline with a steep drop off. Great for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing but not swimming especially with children. All in all, a nice rural, quiet, and scenic getaway.

Hidden Gem in Cornell

We had a group of 8 guys for a fishing getaway and this place was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone the grounds were beautiful. Highly recommend for family or friends weekend. Easy drive to escabana.

Excellent quiet vacay spot

This was an excellent home for our two small families to stay in for a nice little vacation in the UP. It was quiet, well-stocked, and had thoughtful touches throughout the home. The check-in process was easy. The home was very clean and cozy. The checkout process was smooth as well. If we’re back in the area, we would definitely stay here again!

Boney Falls Bungalow

Very clean and well kept, with a beautiful view of the boney Falls dam and basin. We had 9 people in our group, we all fit comfortably and the fully stocked kitchen came in handy for big meals. I would highly recommend this place.

Relaxing stay in a well thought out home

The pictures don't do the home justice. Newly remodeled so everything is new and very clean. The set up of the main living space, bedrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor decks were well thought out - perfect for get aways and get togethers. Loved the fire pit and proximity to the Escanaba rover and basin.

Amazing property - Very Peaceful and Relaxing

Had a great time at this property. We had a very seamless check in. Owners are very thoughtful, having everything in the house that you could need while there. They were very quick to respond to texts while there when we tripped a circuit breaker. Property is not too far from Escanaba for picking up necessities. Many cities within an hour drive to do some sightseeing and activities. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in that area in the future.

Beautiful Property!

We loved everything about this home and the surrounding property. As others have mentioned - it's a good 30 minutes to any neighboring towns, so we made sure plan our meals ahead and brought groceries with us. The house is lovely, spacious and was perfect for our 3 generations and two dogs. It was exactly as described and we enjoyed seeing the deer cross the lawn, beautiful sunrises across the basin and the comfortable indoor/outdoor seating options! We hope to be back again some time!

We’ll. Some concerns. Gunfire from across the street on arrival. VERY LOUD party across street on8-23 lasted till 5am with partiers wandering on this property. Hot water scalding. Difficult to regulate water temperature in downstairs shower. No place to launch kayaks or canoes. Lost power for a few hours one day, but host delivered water and candles quickly. On a positive note house is beautiful inside and view of lake and dam nice. Deer in yard almost every morning. Good shopping at nearby Amish stands. Very nice golf courses nearby. Good fishing on bay. Lots of sightseeing and touristy stuff around. Well you asked for it. Other wise all nice.

Multi. Generational Vacation

Had a great stay at Boney Falls Basin. The house was a delight and very nicely remodeled. We loved picking apples and eating them right off the tree. It was also fun watching the deer eat the apples too. The corn hole game (provided) was a blast and just relaxing on the decks was so peaceful. The sunrises were beautiful in the morning to watch and game night with the adult kids was a lot of fun. A large variety of games are provided as well as a variety of kid oriented movies. Wi-Fi allowed two of our adult boys to work when they needed which was awesome. The house is located quite a ways from any sizable town which can be a blessing or a curse depending on what you are looking for. It was beautiful and peaceful to all of us. The river was at its lowest which made for an interesting day. If the rive is at a decent level, it would make a great float from the property to the Cornell Landing. Overall, loved it but make sure to bring all supplies that you will need.

Great stay if you’re looking for a private, relaxed environment! My adult family stayed for 6 days/5 nights with our 2 dogs and it was the perfect getaway from the craziness of life! The property is beautiful, the provided kayaks/canoe were so appreciated, and the firepit offered a relaxing way to spend the evenings. The kitchen was spacious and well-stocked with cooking tools, so we were able to prepare meals!Our hosts were wonderful and responsive. They have really thought of a lot of make this stay special - providing games (indoor and outdoor), firewood (please donate to the donation fund!), and open living spaces. Please note, this is a relatively REMOTE area - the nearest grocery (Dollar General) is about a 15-20 minute drive. There aren’t many restaurants (which we were fine with). Additionally, this is a beautiful but old home - as such, the AC does not reach the 2nd floor well. This is aided by opening the windows and the provided fans. But given 3/4 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, this is important to point out - especially because one bedroom has no windows and can get hot quickly. We will definitely consider staying here again!!
