'We enjoyed our stay here very much! It fit our needs perfectly for our rockhounding trip. It was my husband and I along with my sister and our 2 dogs. There is a nice big yard for the dogs. The cabin is rustic, which I liked and was clean and comfortable.Communication with hosts was great. We had a couple of questions and they always responded quickly. Check in was easy. We cooked a few meals and the kitchen had all the pans and utensils we needed. No complaints here!'

'What an amazing little place to stay right on Lake Superior. Comfy little cabin, deck off of the bedroom is a great view! Sitting around the fire with a glass of wine was super! 'The Copper Jewel is a wonderful property with character, charm and plenty of space. And Pam is a rockstar! We had the whole home to ourselves (3 couples) but were fortunate to have our host (Pam) prepare a bountiful breakfast each morning and entertain us with stories of Calumet and copper country - including the 100-year old Jewel (home). The sauna was a hit as was the easy access (walking) to the bars, restaurants and shops of downtown Calumet. Love this place and look forward to returning...

The home is on a highway, so there is a bit road noise, but it is located so that neither Copper Harbor or Houghton seemed too far to go. 'Not really “pet friendly.” Poor communication. We weren’t told where the key would be, called phone, no one answered, mailbox full. Someone staying there saw us and told us where the key was.
