Summary:
Our charming flat is located in the heart of Columbus between Downtown and Ohio State Campus - situated two streets east of High St and E 5th.

The Space:
Our charming 1 bedroom flat allows for the perfect space to enjoy the city, unwind from work travel, or any other occasion. There is a queen bed and large deskspace in the main bedroom with an additional pull out couch in the living room to fit up to 4 guests. Enjoy the original hardwood floors and comfortable living room. High-speed WIFI and a 50" Vizio Smart TV - login to your favorite streaming services Netflix, Hulu, HBO etc. or use some of the free tv apps. (NO CABLE). The kitchen is fully stocked with dining needs for four, cooking essentials (pots, pans, spatulas, knives, etc), electric stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Enjoy a fresh pot of coffee from our coffee pot and grounds. Free in-unit laundry is provided with detergent and dryer sheets. The flat is secured by electronic keypad that is accessible 24hrs of the day. Parking is available directly outside of the unit on the street and is $3/24hr/car for a guest pass(long term stays only), 3hr free parking is also located on the corner from 9am-4pm, 6pm-10pm for shorter stays.

Guest Access:
You will type "1181 Say Ave #1 Columbus, Ohio 43201" in your GPS but it will bring you to the front of the tan condo with the red door. If you're looking at the parking lot, the 1181 Say Ave #1 is on the left of the parking lot with the red door on the first level. To access the unit, walk the red door labeled #1 with the electronic deadbolt on it.

The Neighborhood:
A 5 min walk to the best bars, restaurants, and shops in the city!

Getting Around:
Most, if not all, desirable locations is within walking distance. Guests can also take the bus, or take short trips with ride services such as Uber and Lyft.

Other Things to Note:
There is paid parking available on the street directly next to the complex. There is no parking spaces available in the lot attached to the property.

Please DO NOT park in any of the parking spaces connected to the unit. The only available parking is located on the street directly next to the unit.

For longer stays (2+nights) You can also purchase a daily parking pass for $3 (paid directly through ParkColumbus app) that allows you to park in the “SNB” permit zone which is directly outside of the Airbnb.

Metered parking available on N High St. or 3hr free parking is also located on the corner from 9am-4pm, 6pm-10pm.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check in date is at least 14 days away. A 50% refund is applied for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. NO refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Encircling the top of the tower are 24 columns with gargoyle-like figures which are restorations of fossil animals.

We booked this place due to its proximity to the everything (food, events, nightlife) but unfortunately that seemed to be one of the only positive things about this place. Parking is extremely difficult to figure out which I understand is not completely their fault but there could have been a lot more clarification ahead of time on where to park as street parking is only 3 hours so does not work overnight. It is all paid parking. We were woken up early every morning to a very loud dog in the upstairs unit barking nonstop, the couch was falling apart and had items left behind from other guests from before in between the cushions (some type of used shower cap/hat and a tube of ointment of some sort which we didn’t bother getting a closer look). The shower had slight mold damage and there was a cotton shower curtain but no plastic curtin inside to stop water from spilling onto the floor. There was a code to get into the unit but no deadbolt to lock once inside which was concerning because we were not sure who else could know the code and access the place while we were inside or at night sleeping. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again due to safety concerns, lack of cleanliness, and noise.

It was a cute little place. The parking situation was confusing, but it was warm, cozy, you didn’t have to go very far for anything. Outside of a spider web on one of the curtains it was very clean. I recommend.

Online photos looked cute- space was neat, but surfaces were not clean. Noise level was intollerable and went on until 4am. Bed was sunken in middle and not comfortable. We did receive acredit.
