1st room was heavily smoked in even though we requested a non smoking room. We were able to switch rooms. The 2nd room was dirty, stains on the carpet, burned/stained/ripped furniture, bathroom had mold in the corners of shower & dirt and hair on the bathroom floor. The worst part was when we found LIVE bed bugs on the bed. We were in the room less than 30 min, but our children were completely bit up by the bed bugs. The hotel staff did not take us seriously, the management on the phone did not want to refund us our money but the desk agent convinced him that there really were bed bugs (she went with me and took pictures). They did refund our money but refused any help with figuring out how to sanitize and clean our luggage, clothing, and blankets etc. The manager told the desk agent that they would not be helping in any way with any of the cleaning or damages. When we spoke to Baymont corporate they were less then helpful. The woman we spoke with on the phone said they opened a complaint case and refused to speak with us further and got a terrible attitude with us. All around terrible experience. We ended up spending a lot of money to find a different hotel, many hours of cleaning, money spent on cleaning supplies, and my children were scared to go to a different hotel.
