'Beautiful old mansion house converted to a lovely hotel. It was very quiet when we were there with just 1 or 2 other guests, but they looked after us well. Rooms newly redecorated (we loved the Galápagos room with undersea mural and in room clawfoot bath. Walkable to old town (15 minutes) and basilica (5 minutes) but not at night. 'We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Inti. Daniel was a wonderful host and all staff were helpful and accommodating. We had our laundry done same day for a reasonable cost, and the included breakfast was simple but delicious. Although there wasn't a lot in the area to walk to, Ubers were easy to get and we were only about a 5 minute walk to the El Ejido Metro station. Nights were mostly quiet, although there is some traffic noise, so earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper....

'This is a lovely little hotel with a very welcoming feel and great staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the food (breakfast and dinner) in the cosy restaurant was excellent. The decor is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of Ecuador and the whole layout is very attractive. The availability of complimentary fresh fruit in the sitting room area was a nice touch. Nothing to fault here, highly recommended.'

'The hosts are so sweet. Breakfast is very good they will cook eggs and bacon fresh for you. The rooms are very clean with fresh flowers a lovely touch. There is a small bar where you can have nightcap. The area around has lots of restaurants and bars. The square seems a little sketchy but we had no problems and felt very safe. We would recommend a stay at this hotel.'

'The Zen Hotel was great. They had a hard time finding my reservation at first but that happens at times. We had 2 rooms during our stay with both being Deluxe Studios with 1 King Bed with sofa bed. 'We loved our stay here. We had our two teenage sons with us and the room was perfect. The staff was incredible- so helpful and answered all our questions. They called taxis for us, recommended delicious restaurants, and even stayed up for us to arrive nearly in the middle of the night.
