The apartment we rent is located as seen in the photographs in a location surrounded by woods and can take advantage of the terrace, balcony and garden at the back of the house. We rent to one family at a time, so you won't have to share the spaces with anyone. We live on the ground floor and no contact will be required after your arrival, if you don’t wish it. Another part of the building is inhabited by a single person with whom you will not come into contact.

Information on the sanitation of the apartment

Upon arrival, guests will be provided with a hand sanitizer and liquid soap. Masks will not be provided.
Physical spacing will be adopted during check-in and check-out and, if desired, self-check-in.
We will air the rooms during and after the cleaning and sanitization procedure.
After the normal cleaning operations we will take care of sanitizing using the bleach suitably diluted on the surfaces that allow it. When it is not possible we will use alcohol at 70% concentration.
We ensure great attention in the sanitization of:
Door handles
Switches, remote controls and other devices used with the hands (e.g. light switches, kitchen knobs, buttons and remote controls of the TV)
Bathroom taps, buttons and toilet seats
Chairs, tables and bed frames
Waste bins and any other object that may have contained material to be disposed of.
The linen will be washed properly with hot water and the sofa covers will be changed at each step.
We ask you to remove your shoes when you enter the property, leaving them at the entrance.
The apartment (115 mq.) has 7 beds plus a sofa bed (130 x 180 cm), a camping cot (120 x 60 cm) and can accommodate up to 8 people.
The apartment is located on the first floor and has a terrace where you can have your meals, seeing the mountains on clear days, observing the flight of birds among which often buzzards.
The kitchen is fully equipped (pots and pans, fridge, gas stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster)
- The washer and dryer are located on the ground floor.
- A hair dryer and iron are available.
- There is a high chair for the little ones
- There is a fireplace in one room
- There is air conditioning in one room (that of the fireplace)
Behind the house there is a lawn from which you can go down to the orchard where you can stop in the shade of the strawberry grape pergola, or enjoy the sun, organize a barbecue or let the children play on the lawn.
Cocconato is at the center of an area rich in Romanesque churches located in nearby locations (Montechiaro, Montiglio, Cortazzone, Cerreto and Albugnano) being an area crossed by the paths of the Via Francigena, a road traveled by European pilgrims to reach Rome and the Holy Land.
Built between the eleventh and twelfth centuries, they were a stopping place on the way and churches of small villages that stood on the hills.
Some are in good condition, some are less, but all are worth a visit if only for their always splendid panoramic position.
Staying in Cocconato means enjoying the view of the great panoramic spaces that its geographical position allows, looking 'beyond'; it means finding yourself while walking in the woods and in the surroundings, it means being amazed
the beauty of the wild blooms that still exist despite
industrialization. Cherry, apple, peach and pear trees in bloom leave you speechless.
After visiting the characteristic surroundings of Cocconato, shopping for wines and visiting the Romanesque churches, you can visit the Castelli del Monferrato, Chieri with its thousand churches, Asti with its history and the Palio with the historical re-enactment in September, Turin with its museums, its palaces, and its nightlife.
A path, on foot or by bike, identified by some as a variant on the Via Francigena, connects the Superga Abbey with the Crea Sanctuary via the Canonica di Vezzolano. This street passes a few meters from our house.
Anyone wishing to cover it in two days (trekking and mountain biking) will make a stop in Cocconato.
Those who love swimming can find a swimming pool about 10 km away in Boscorotondo and the Codana swimming pool (8 km.) Is being opened for spring 2018. In Asti there is a water park.
An 18-hole golf course is 20 km away.
Some stables are active in the surroundings.
