The Carriage House Studio at Marion Hall Mansion

Unique and private loft that was once the stables of the carriage house of Frank Enger. Mr. Enger’s family manufactured carriages and shipped them around the country in the 1800s. When Frank took over, he eventually began putting motors in the carriages and ultimately founded the Enger Motor Company. This beautiful space combines old-world character with the modern amenities of today. The fully renovated space highlights exposed brick, a new kitchenette, new bathroom, and beautiful furnishings.

You'll find the kitchenette is a perfect launching point for your night and for making everyone coffee in the morning while you relax. The private patio is great and beautifully furnished with plants and plenty of seating. It will be great for having a bottle and enjoying the evenings. This space is the perfect option for travelling professionals, nurses, doctors, or simply couples or small families looking for a getaway.

We tried to strike a perfect balance between the original character of the property and designing in features to make the home really enjoyable day-to-day.

Our guests will enjoy a private loft in the carriage house stables of our historic home. The 1.8 acre, fully gated property boosts lush gardens, secluded landscape, and various sitting areas around the grounds to enjoy.

Our family lives in the main house at Marion Hall Mansion and are available for anything you might need during your stay

North Avondale has been described as a piece of heaven...right in the city. Some of the grandest homes in Cincinnati grace the winding streets of this historic neighborhood. The homes here represent a wide range of architectural styles dating back to the late 1800s.

We have free parking for one car inside our gated entrance just outside the home. Other cars can park for free on the street.

We are minutes from I-71 and I-75 and walking distance to Xavier University. Also conveniently located to many of Cincinnati's best attractions:

Incredibly unique property. Fantastic vibes, awesome location for spots you want to go into town or stay out and just enjoy the property. Communication was unmatched, even swapped the coffee maker that wasn’t working first thing in the morning when I hadn’t fully woken so I could have a fresh cup of coffee. Just lovely.

What a wonderful room and setting you have. It's more like a large apartment. The bed was super comfortable. It was a terrific location for us, just minutes away from our son and daughter-in-law. Loved our stay at the Carriage House. Perfect space for a couple with all the nice little touches. Communication was super easy with the owner. This is a shared space, as the description says…so if hearing the upstairs residents on occasion could bother you, maybe rethink this one. Otherwise it’s great! Planning on coming back.

While looking for a place to stay for an overnight Valentine's Day getaway, I came across this wonderful property. Just a short drive from our favorite downtown restaurant, this charming carriage house made for the perfect retreat for the evening. The historic charm of the studio suite adds a touch of class that is memorable. Matt, our host, was wonderful, promptly responding to any questions I had regarding our stay. Great, but not exactly what I expected

This was our first time using a service like Vrbo, and probably had more questions than most guests. At just under a thousand square feet, the place was plenty big and comfortable enough for us (myself & 2 kids). I assumed that, at that size, that we would have the entire Carriage house, but it was *much* more impressive than that. While there were no ‘shared’ spaces as part of our rental, I did not anticipate being under a second floor unit. It was not overly loud by any means, but I’ve never lived anywhere that had a shared wall/ceiling/floor. Had I known that, I likely would have ruled the place out, and that would have been a mistake. Even with the shared ceiling/floor, it was great. I’m sure we used the kitchen more than most, having groceries in the fridge, using the toaster oven to bake cinnamon rolls in the morning(s) and dinner as needed. The kitchen(-ette) is not fully equipped for everything you might possibly need for a group of 4, but was perfect for us.The foldout couch was surprisingly very comfortable. Advertised as pet-friendly, we did not see any evidence of previous pets having stayed there, which was nice. It would be nice if the lights were wired differently to allow for a little better darkness in the sleeping area, while having a single light on in the kitchen, but I’m probably reaching at this point. It was great.
