'Great view from room, friendly helpful staff, air con was great. Bed comfortable. Room was good. No major complaints. If I wanted to be picky fridge in room not very cold and not enough coffee and sugar in the room. Apart from that I definitely recommend and I will return again.'

'It was a nice property overall, but our room reeked of cigarettes, now my clothes also smell of cigarettes :-( We booked a second room for the rest of the family and that was much nicer. Helpful staff, nice restaurant with a delicious breakfast. Beautiful sunset over the restaurant terrace.'

'A very cool/reserved welcome. Check-in seems like an effort. Quickly settled and sat outside for a drink - went inside because the language was disgusting. The swearing inside was no better and neither was the misogynistic comments from the senior members. Good place to stay but let down by the clientele'

'The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer. Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions.'

'A excellent stay prior to a flight from Bristol Airport. Restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. The staff made you feel welcome. Car parking was great and only 15-20 minutes from the airport. Will definitely stay again.'

'Its a nice hotel for a few days. No change of bathroom towels or room cleaning. You hv to ask for it at the reception desk... we stayed three nights. How can you expect guests to use the towels for three days? I dont might the cleaning (can keep it tidy myself) or that yr bed is not made. Can do that to. But new towels us a must. '

'Easy location to find. We had the two bedroom apartment and it was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast items provided and we had a lovely outlook onto a field with animals. Will stay again and recommend to our friends and family.'

'Booked here because of its proximity to Bristol airport but it didn't disappoint. Ample parking, nice beers and food (pity they had ran out of steaks!). For early risers they prepare a continental breakfast the evening before so you can always get something no matter at what time you have to catch your flight. Wouldn't mind to come back and be able to try those steaks.'

'The truest test of a review is would we stay there again? The answer to that is sadly a no. Nothing particularly wrong, just not really a good value all things considered in the end. The property is well positioned in the city for access to grocery, chain restaurants, coffee houses and the #8 bus. There is a busy street, particularly popular on weekends nearby. The place was very clean, smelling of bleach when we arrived, however bleach wasn’t wiped away near a counter and one of us ended up...
