Lake Junalaska is a hidden gem. Restaurant offerings are average in quality and limited to a minimal choice buffet. Breakfast is fine, but lunch or dinner is certainly sub par.
Nice size room with a great view of the lake. Clean and comfortable bed. The breakfast was pedestrian and feel of the building was comfortable with seating on the lake side. Great place for walks with trails around the lake and ice cream across the street. Second time we have stayed here and would come back.
Could be much better. We were told room had a safe. No safe. We were told someone would come to the room to check it out. No one came. We were told no room cleaning but towels would be picked up if we left used towels in hall. 3 nights passed and no one ever came by. We went to front desk to get towels. They didnât have any. What?! Came back later and they had some.
Hated to write that because the building is new and in a great location. Such a huge investment in that yet seemed to be lacking so clearly on some basic service points.
Lots of room for improvement. Step it up team!
The pool was about a mile away and charged $30 for three people, plus $3 to rent towels đ
TV went out ant 7:30pm and instead of replacing it they wanted us to pack up and move at 9:30pm.
It was a nice hotel otherwise but these things dampened our spirts.
