The Space:

Shepherd’s Nook is a charming countryside retreat nestled on the outskirts of Alnwick in the heart of Northumberland. This characterful cottage perfectly blends rustic charm with home-from-home comfort, offering a peaceful getaway for families or groups of up to six guests.



Inside, you'll find a warm and inviting living area with exposed wooden beams, a cozy fireplace, and plush seating—ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the nearby coast or countryside. The fully equipped kitchen is both traditional and practical, with everything you need to enjoy meals together at the large dining table.



The cottage features three thoughtfully furnished bedrooms: a spacious master with a king-size bed, a second comfortable double, and a bunk room perfect for children or friends sharing.



The modern bathroom is located on the first floor and features a bath with an overhead shower, WC and basin. Please note that towels are not provided at Shepherd's Nook.



Outside, Shepherd’s Nook offers a tranquil setting surrounded by rolling countryside, yet is just a short drive from the historic market town of Alnwick, famed for its castle, gardens, and friendly local shops and eateries. Whether you're looking to unwind in peace or explore the beauty of Northumberland, this cottage makes the perfect base.

The keys to Shepherd’s Nook are accessed via a key safe box. Further details will be provided prior to check-in.



Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle. Additional parking is available on the lane leading up to Shepherd’s Nook.



One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay at Shepherd’s Nook per reservation.

The nearest train station to North Charlton can be found in Chathill, a short 10-minute drive away from Shepherd’s Nook. Chathill has direct services operating to Blaydon, Carlisle, Cramlington, Haltwhistle, Hexham, Morpeth, Newcastle upon Tyne and Prudhoe.



Two bus routes operate in North Charlton offering access to Alnwick, Berwick-upon-Tyne, Morpeth and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
