"Le Cerisier" Holiday Cottages, Champsecret

The holiday cottage dates from approximately the 1600's and has been superbly renovated and is an ideal place for that romantic stay or to just chill out and enjoy the surrounding area with the family. Full of charm this delightful cottage oozes comfort and style and a home away from home. Situated In a quite and peaceful location yet conveniently located very near many shopping facilities and local restaurants.

Very stylish and comfortable, the cottage is 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with extra sleeping with a sofa bed available for an additional 2 people in the lounge area. We have a cot available if required. PLEASE NOTE: Children under 2 years old are free of charge. All children over 2 years old are at a chargeable rate.
It has a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, under bench oven, microwave and full size, free standing fridge freezer and Washing machine.
The cottage consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge with Woodburner for those chilly days and nights and electric heaters if you don't fancy lighting the fire.
The lounge area has fireplace with Woodburner for those cold days and nights( we supply Wood for one night only) and ample seating. It has Free Sate TV with both French & English Channels. There is both DVD and CD player and newly installed internet and WIFI available.
We also have an outdoor area at the back of the cottages for guests to use for those who wish to have lazy days relaxing in the sun or for outdoor BBQ dining. their is ample outdoor furniture and we provide a Weber Charcoal BBQ for guests use. For added charm and decor we have potted plants with more decorative ideas to add to this in future. Access will be at the present time via the top side of cottages. The front gardens and paths are yet to be constructed.
The property's land extends across the road which is ideal for recreational activities if you don't fancy going out for the day.

There is a walking and cycle way going past the door which takes you by the river, 'La Varenne'.
The cottages are situated within the Park Naturale and backing onto the Andaines Forest, 6.3 klms from the busy town of Domfront with its Medieval Quarter and Abbey
Le Cerisier is within easy reach of Port of Caen being only 1 1/2 hrs away and alternative routes ... eg. via Calais.
The village of Champsecret itsef is only 4.6 klms away perfect for picking up your bread and croissants for the day.
The famous D Day beaches are within easy reach as is the famous Mont St Michel and many other historic sites.

Guest access

Access is via a Key Safe near the front door, we ask you to place the key back in this each time you leave the property so there is no problem with loss of keys. (This could cause a problem for next guest if lost)

Interaction with guests

There will be contacts available for any questions or problems that may arise.These will be given prior to your arrival.

Additional rules
We ask that you leave the cottage as clean as you found it on arrival. PLEASE REMOVE ALL WASTE/RUBBISH PRIOR TO CHECK OUT AND IF WITH INFANTS PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL SOILED NAPPIES ARE DISPOSED AT THE APPROPRIATE REFUSE POINT PRIOR TO LEAVING OTHERWISE THIS COULD INCUR EXTRA CHARGES.
No smoking is to be observed at all times in the cottage as we have a NO SMOKING policy.
Please ensure all windows are closed on leaving and key is left in key safe for our next guests arrival.

Other things to note

Please be aware that we are on Fosse Septic so do not flush any sanitary products or chemicals down the toilet or sink. We ask that you use what has been supplied in cupboards for any cleaning.
