Not impressed with our stay at Chaffee Lodge. Upon walking into the facility, we were met with an unpleasant smell, possibly old stale cigarette smell throughout the building. The manager was pleasant and walked us to our room. At first glance, it's a room, but shocked to see an exterior door to the parking lot in the room across from the bed. The bedding was mismatched which would have been ok, but the linens were stained, and I don't think they were laundered from the last tenant. Our room did not look like anything on the website. My husband found stale bread crumbs on his side, and when he moved the nightstand to plug in his phone charger, there were candy wrappers and trash behind the stand. I won't even start with the hairy bathroom and the filthy light switch. Positive things, a microwave, a small refrigerator, a television, pricing, and blinds. We didn't mind that the decor looked like it was decorated from an auction. We did stay overnight, but would not book this motel again.

Dirty, hairs both human and animal in the sheets along with body fluid stains. Hairs and dust in corners and heater. Slept on top of covers. Could hear ALL activity and conversation through thin walls. I saw no sprinklers or posted emergency escape plan. Needs to be torn down, frankly.

The place is old and beatup. Very low end. Odd smells. Bathroom corners were very dirty. Neighborhood was fine. Tables, microwave, closet shelf, very beat up and rusty. 50 cent eyelet and hook security on door. Bathroom fan did not work. Warped plastic floor. Paid $131. More like $45 quailty. The room did have a level of neatness to a point. Office was disgustingly dirty and messy.

that has been sprayed with bleach many times and has a mattress pad over it. you never asked for a refund.

We did not stay. Would rather lose our money than stay. If this is a 3star hotel, we will never stay at one recommended by Expedia. Going to-only use Brand Hotels. The staff was very nice and would have refunded our money if they could.

Very disappointing, left early.
Positives: The owner was very friendly and helpful. The size of the refrigerator was excellent. Everything else was disappointing. The room was dark, the tv shut off by itself, everything felt dirty. It was like walking into a guest room that was furnished by the Goodwill in the 1960’s. The florescent light in the bathroom stopped working on the second day. When we checked out early the owner asked if they had done anything wrong, I said we finished our trip early, which was true. I then told him about the tv and bathroom light. He said he that he would have left too. Once again, the owner was great but the hotel needs a lot of work. I have no idea how this hotel has a 8.5 rating.

Everything we needed
Just be aware that the area rolls up the sidewalks and goes home by eight. Even on weekends, Even when their hours says 10 or later. Very difficult to find decent food during unavoidable late hours.

Very nice stay
Lodge was "quaint", older style, but clean and comfortable. It was a quiet, pleasant stay. Gentleman at front desk was super accommodating when I needed a downstairs room. Only complaint was the terrible parking lot. Take your time over the potholes!

A clean place to sleep.
Because my family literally only needed a bed to sleep in, this place was just what we needed. They provide free WiFi and cable tv, but there are no other amenities. The room was dated but clean. The hotel was also quiet. My only complaint is that the mattress on one of the beds was very worn in and felt like you would roll right off. This hotel serves its purpose and was very affordable.

Great price! Clean room. Comfortable king size bed. Hot water that didn’t run out. Very friendly staff. Coffee in the lobby in the morning.Minutes away from a venue where we attended a wedding. This is not a fancy motel… older decor, but it was perfect for us.

Website stated renovated. The room we were in (#5) definitely was not. Dresser was a safety hazard since the drawers fell out. Neither the sink nor tub drained well. Linens were stained. Bed was uncomfortable. Gentleman that checked us in was very helpful and friendly. This stay was worth maybe half of what we paid. I cannot recommend it.

Don't be put off by first impressions. This place was nicer than other places we stayed that cost a lot more. The Chaffee lounge the the most pleasant surprise of our trip. We were a little skeptic at first when we saw the place but boy, the room was huge and clean. The man who greeted us, I think the owner was nice and helpful. It was close enough to restaurants and anything you needed.

The property owner is friendly and accommodating. However, the facilities are pretty old. Sheets, towels, bathroom etc... are smell funky. It was the cheapest we can find around and has good reviews compared to most. I would give 4 stars just for the friendly nature of the property owner.
