We saw eagles circling the sky, moose in the pastures, and deer in the backyard. We aren't avid outdoors people (the wifi worked great, the place was heated, the water was treated and hot, and we cooked our own meals, so we had no reason to venture out), but the views of the snowcapped mountains tempted us so we made our way over to St Mary's...

'What a great house and location! The beds were comfortable and the views each morning were inspiring. Walked downtown each morning for coffee and really enjoyed the convenience for everything we enjoyed. Julia was responsive and very helpful. The house is very historic and well decorated!! One of the best VRBO's we've stayed in. Nice and quiet neighborhood and a pleasure to walk around. Will definitely stay here again!!'

'This was a nice quaint place to stay and get away from it all. Not much happening in Central City or Black Hawk proper (except the casinos), and that's what we were looking for—just to enjoy the peacefulness for a while. The cottage itself was nice. The beds were comfortable, we had everything we needed to cook with, the Wi-Fi worked great, we were able to connect our laptop to the TV (bring your own HDMI cable), washer & dryer on site, so all of that was perfect.
