'Nice room with window that opens. Most hotel staff speaks English, some with difficulty. Breakfast is good with warm and cold items, and the music played was less depressive than last year. A coffee/tea machine would make the room a lot better. Wifi should also be upgraded, it sometimes disconnects and the signal is very weak in some areas (it was best in the bathroom for some reason...).'

'Foi horrivel. Ficamos num quarto no sotao, onde ao sair da cama, batiamos a cabeça na viga. Nao tinha chuveiro, era ducha com a agua que nao passou de morna. O quarto nao tinha como vedar, tampouco a luz da noite ou do dia. Experiencia bem ruim'

'Beautiful views, plenty parking, breakfast was satisfactory. We would stay again.'

'I booked the (cheapest) hotel room for a layover night for a multi-day trip by car. The room was dated but the bed felt good and the bathroom was clean. 'Let's start with the positives. The reception desk and café staff, were incredibly helpful and kind. The room was clean. The dining space was updated and clean and the staff did their best. The grounds were well kept. The negative were the other staff. No one spoke English and did not attempt to communicate in any other language, verbal or non-verbal. Listing a property on Expedia should include mention that English is not widely spoken when appropriate. Except for the cave steam bath, there...

'Really enjoyed our short stay as we felt like royalty in our luxurious room. Dinner and breakfast were tasty with great variety.'

'This is a very posh, small (24 room) 5* hotel, located right in the center of the small town of Banska Stiavnica. We were the only guests that night, because the hotel had blocked reservations to get organized for the summer season (and forgot to block Expedia). The hotel owner was working the desk, and was extremely friendly and helpful. There is convenient and secure parking under the hotel. There are a few tourist attractions in town (most interesting - the mine tour) and there are other...
